The tC is also faster than a Corvette in top gear acceleration ;)

Not trying to rain on your parade. But I don't think a 1 sec. difference in ONE gear is hardly anything to try and brag about. It still takes it 18.2 secs. to reach 1/4 mile...

HERE let's put it in a better perspective. Naturally you are going to have a shorter gearing in the xb than in the TC...why is that you might ask.

xB TOP SPEED 103 mph.
TC TOP SPEED 127 mph.

need I say more. You BETTER have shorter gearing in that thing if you only can make it as high as 103 mph... The TC has a lot further to go in Top speed, so the Top gear is going to be longer....

Anyone here in TN from the Murfreesboro area knows that on one interstate (I-24), you will get ran over if you are not doing at least 80-85mph. You don't have much more room to go seeing as how you top out at 103. My 95 rolla will get to 117 at least. So, give it a rest dude. You Are Not Faster Than A TC. So, stop talking about one little single gear and 1 sec. difference.

It's funny how C&D stop the specs for the xB at 90mph. Thirteen more mph, and your speed limiter kicks in. Seeing as how you talk about 1 gear, let me point out some things for you.

The TC is faster from 0-70 than an xb is from 0-60.
By the time you make it to 80mph, I would already be at 100mph.
I still will be going when your speed limiter kicks in at 103.

So, give it a rest already. The only way I would trade a TC in for an xB, is if I had 2 kids.

well good luck i hope the choice youre making is the right one...personally i love the tc...a lot more than the xb...probably because i've had an suv and wanted a car...

Got back from the dealer, still 15,000 for the trade in.

They'll get a 2005 with TRD Springs, Sway, Side Sills, and Tint with around 20k miles on it. We'll see if I actually get that when my SW TC comes into port and we do the deal.

Give it a rest yourself. My daily driver is a tC, the xB is my wife's car.

I'm just saying that in some ways the xB is superior and in some ways the tC is superior. Of course the tC is faster overall.

You know, it just kills me the way a lot of tC owners act when someone says an xB is better in some ways. You don't hear the xB or xA owners going ape when someone says a tC is better. Its like most of the tC owners have this inferiority complex that brings out the worst in them when anything negative about the tC is mentioned...

Dude, dont say something you dont know. You really think theyll give him 19600 without buying their car? That is the way they do their bussiness. Give people higher for the trade in to make them feel better and then hike the price of their cars. Damn those salesmen.

This is what im thinkin too! I myself have a 06 5spd tC and its fun. Although i dont act as if xA or xB are the low end ones. I like all the Scion models because to me its like family on the road. xA has that sporty look and the xB has that cool look. We all drive scions so why do we bash on each other? Toyota made xA and xB for good gas mileage and easy on your wallets. The tC is the sporty coupe which gets called "Cute" from alot of females. Their all Scion's.

Yeah whats the deal with that? I have this really hot neighbor in the apartment next to me and she never really talks to me other than the usually lame hello. The first day I brought home a tC from the dealership she came over and told me it was a hot car and that I could get a lot of girls in it...

...I've had my xB which is way tricked out for over a month now and she hasnt said a word about it. Good thing my GF likes the xB.
