I am going to try and word this carefully so that its not an advert. but here it goes. I think it would be really cool to make a video/music vid of the tC. I own my own professional video editing company, and I just think it would be a cool project I'd like to do. Since I dont get my tC for another 88 days I need some footage from fellow members here on ScionLife. I was thinking, some just some cool street slips, I guess racing (not sure if the stock tC can really do that but nonetheless...), maybe some cool clips of driving into or away from a sunset, rain, snow, anything you think might be cool. If you have some clips please send me an email to peter@gosurgevideo.com or just post here, but I think this would be an awesome project to see when its done... Lemme know if you guys have anything and wat you might like to see in the video!

That would be cool, I also do professional video editing, and I own a DVX-100P. I will shoot some footage for you when I can, that would be pretty awesome.

My personal camera is OK, Sharp VL-NX105 but I have access to my schools 4, $3000 cameras, and our $800,000 video truck :twisted: theres pretty much nuthin I cant do, and I just got an Alienware to "maximize" my editing performance. giggity! FYI incase anyone knows of these or even cares, but Ill be making the video with Avid Xpress Pro and Vegas Video 5.0 for effects and editing and then some other programs for titling etc...

 

Cool, I use Avid XPro as well, great system, I'll try to get some footage to you.

 

i would love to volunteer for the shoot... i'm in the OC area. It would be a nice video to check out.. maybe you can mix some SEMA cars into the video..that would be awesome too.

Let me know ... but i would prefer not to race unless it's on closed road. hehe.

I'll be putting a full LED under car kit along with suspension lighting kit weekend...so if someone is looking to do a "fast and furious" style shoot..let me know..

.mov should be fine, if it isnt i can contact you and tell you how to convert it to another format, all I ask from anyone is that the video's are good quality no video looks good with blurry clips and pixelated motion

i've seen alot of tC in UCI area...mostly stock,but few were dropped with exhaust. Maybe i can leave a note on their car and see if they would like to participate in tC gone wild video~ lol.

anyways, I have a nice camera and I can take some videos of my tC when it gets out of the shop, hopefully this weekend, somebody did a hit and run on it in the parking lot while I was at work.... ah well

 

If I can get ahold of a video cam I'll see if I can race my friend's GTI again. And, if you hold on long enough, I'll race my friend's silver tC against my flintmica tC... when/if he gets it. I can also do a burnout for ya... and if it's raining :twisted: .

 

I've worked in network television for several years now and do some video production of my own on the side. If I had to summarize my experience in one sentence it would be this: It DOES NOT matter how good or how bad your equipment is ... your video will only be as good as you are at making it. In this sense... all equipment is the same whether it be an old VHS camcorder or a betacam... Windows MovieMaker or Avid. (not the same as in actual broadcast standards, obviously)

Last month I made a 10 minute corporate film with just work lights from Home Depot, a Sony consumer minidv cam, and Adobe Premiere and I got paid $5,000. The client loved the final product and I loved my check.

Now, with that said and done, I too have thought about doing a tC video but haven't had the time or enough desire. I think it'd be cool though. Sorry I don't have any video on the computer.

 

i agree, it is mostly how u edit, i myself have only a minidv, but its quality is fairly good,i have acces to 4, $3000 cameras so Im pretty much set there! I will probably be busy the next two weekends, so maybe anythime over xmas break or after the 19th, we can prob set sumthin up.

as for the alienware... i love it, specs are solid (although i would have liked to have put more into it, we decided to hold off one some optional stuff to keep the price down, but as for the tech support... i think its great. Granted, if you call LATER at night, once and awhile ull catch someone with a strong latin accent, but I can still understand them, and they really work with u and try and be as clear as possible. I had a Dell laptop before and couldnt take it with them. Everytime I call up someone has a incredible middle eastern accent, and talked a mile a minute. I could never understand them, so i would just immediatly ask to be transfered to another agent i could understand, then id have to go through 2-3 more agents before i found someone who freakin spoke english.

 

I live in Miami so spanish accents don't really bother me, haha.
