I had a 03 2.5. If you like to mod your car the 2.5 isn't the way to go. cobb tuning is about the only people that make anything for them so the prices are just crazy. Then all of the parts that are made for the 2.5 get pushed back for new parts for the WRX and the STi. In my opinion get the tC that way you know people are going to be making a lot of stuff for it.

The 2.5 isn't a very good value for the money, IMO. There's a reason everyone buys the WRX and not the 2.5RS

If I had to choose between a tC (5spd) and a 2.5RS (5spd)...I'd get the 2.5RS...why? Because I've always wanted an Impreza...

What was your reliability like on the RS?

There is so many new cars out there I want. But I just seem to make up my mind on what to buy!

I am considering the following:

'05 tC
'05 Corolla S
'05 Impreza 2.5RS Sedan with Sports Package
'05 Impreza 2.5RS Wagon
'05 xA
'05 Civic EX Coupe

i have the 02 RS with 50k miles on it. reliability has been good no problems yet...although there is an annoyance with clutch shudder which i believe happened to most imprezas during my year and wrx's too...awd is nice but i'd rather get a TC....test driven one and its a bit faster.....has more/better features....looks better too....hopefully i can sell my car and get a TC next year

if i were u id stay away from the si...it was between that or my tc and for the money the si comes no where close to the value of the tc..plus the hp is same but tc has better low end tq..also ive herd many tranny probs for that rally mounted shift...id go with the tc imo

Thank you very much for that link!!!! :D

The Subaru is out of the question now. Now I will stick with getting a tC. Now I just need to figure out which color to get.

One day I like Super White the next day I like Flint Mica and so on.......

well i got white... and i wanted flint mica... but after gettn white i kinda like it better because of the contrast with the sunroofs and the black around the mirror finishing off the window... looks pretty tint in white... flints great but hard to touch up with dings and such... i guess im happy with white.. too bad i had that color on my last car

I didn't really care that much for it. The CEL was always on due to a misfire in cyl. 1 and 3. Subaru never wanted to do anything about it except check the code tell me the same thing. Then tell me if it happens again, bring it back. Don't get me wrong this was a FUN car. All you have to do is add mud or gravel.

2.5 RS is heavier than tC... it hit up 60 in 8 sec.

if you wanna get a STI just get the 2.5RS and add turbo and intercooler....hahahaha

add an emblem that say STi hahahahaaha

wrx and rs are like pieces from the sti

wrx - TURBO
RS - 2.5L engine

The WRX is a 2.0, compaired to the STi which is a 2.5. The RS, is of course a 2.5, but the STi has completely different internals. Its also different because of the open deck vs. closed deck block.
