Default Tc window tint Fronts

So it is illegal to tint the front driver and passenger side windows in CA. Now I found a place that will do it regardless and it is very hot here in bakersfield. Question is should I do it or should i not.

I have tinted all the windows in all of my cars and live in CA, was OC but now LA. I have gotten pulled over time and time again... $10 fixit plus sign off.

Be careful, your car's exterior is light in color, the interior is black. Obviously the darker you go the worse it is, but since you have a black interior it will make it much worse, especially at night.

I had a black on black Civic Ex and did limo all the way around, it was very dark and I got pulled over often. I just sold my white beemer with gray interior, went medium tint and was very happy with it.

My fiance wants me to do the limo again on the tC, I don't think I want to, my ext is going to be Flint Mica with black interior, again way too dark.

If you do it and you keep it somewhat light, so the officers can see in and it is reasonable they will leave you alone. Prior to selling my beemer I got pulled over in Santa Monica, got written up for no front license plate, but they didn't mess with my windows.

Post pics when ur done!!!

Everyone does it, c'mon man, be like us! You wanna be cool don't you?
lol.
ok seriously though, almost all tint shops will do it, and chances are you will get a ticket sooner or later. A lot of shops will offer to take off the tint if you get a fix-it ticket, and then put it back on after the ticket is cleared. Ask what the shops policy is, will they redo it for free later if you get a ticket? Of course the big question is basically how many times do you want to get pulled over, and have to keep going back to the tint shop and back to the CHP's office?

I say go for it, maybe you will get lucky and not get a ticket, or at least not get one for a long time. But thats just my opinion, since you asked. I'm sure a lot of people will just tell you to save yourself the trouble and go by what the law says.

i was thinking something light. I just don't want to get pulled over and hasseled but I also don't like the heat. I was thinking maybe 35 or 50 up front. I have 15 in back.

hey as long as the shop lets you know the law and isn't trying to trick you, go for it it just a $10.00 fixit ticket and remove the film but there are a lot of Tc's out there and i've seen peeps trade licence plates with someone without tint and get the ticket signed offf im not saying to do that, but if there is a will ther is a way.
