TC1 involved in Fatal crash this morning
this is so sad
An early morning crash Saturday near West Flagler Street and 58th Avenue claimed the lives of three people, including a father and his child.
Miami police said Alejandro Hernandez, 19, was driving a Toyota Scion that was speeding west on Flagler Street about 2 a.m. when it collided head-on with a Ford Expedition traveling east. The crash was so severe the engine block of the Toyota Scion was torn off the car, and that of the Ford Expedition was pushed into the SUV.

I hope the wife recovers and the driver comes to grips with what he did. It will be something that haunts him forever, while he is in jail.
AND, here goes our insurance premiums, again.

The tc driver was estimated to be going over 100. Idiots, I really feel for the family of the Navigator as I am a family man, I know we've all done stupid things and hope that one can see how quickly a life can change. The tc driver also had a passenger that died on impact.

Being a woman and such, as bad if this is gonna sound. The wife may be better off if she passes away. Who would want to go through life without the very people you lived for to begin with....This is just a terrible story all together. Heartbreaking!

Sorry, but hoping she passes just because her loved ones are lost? I'm sure she has family that loves her and would rather her be alive. Sure it is a tragedy, but that's almost like saying, hey you should commit suicide because you are having a hard time. Bad times will come and will make you stronger if you choose to make the best of it.

Not to derail this thread, but insurance rates are made up of many different variables. I'm 27 and pay $300 every 6 months ($287.00 currently) through progressive for $100/$300k liability/uninsured, $100k property damage, etc. Clean driving record, credit score, where you live, what you drive, safety courses, etc. They all add up.
Very sorry to see things like this happen. I originally saw this submitted over on ft86club, and my god the Scion/tC haters over there. Wait until the 86 can be had by teenagers for < $10k. I think it will be worse actually, seeing as how the 86 is touted as a "sports car". I guess we'll wait and see.
