tCs suck in the rain
I hate it, it\'s hard to get a decent launch when the road is wet. Even the normal launches I wind up with the fronts spinning. They even spin shifting from 2nd to 3rd.
crappy stock tires + low gears + torque motor = spinners

it isn't that hard, just takes some delicate throttling.
why don't you try leaving from a stop in second gear?
but i don't have much problems with the tc in the rain, well, actually, my biggest problem with the tc in the rain is the wipers start skipping across the windshield at 80+ mph.

I love autoxing the tC in the rain, it does great with good tires. Launching can be trickier with any fwd in the rain if the tires arent right.
For all season tires, Avons rock in the rain.

Moral of the story is, learn to drive in the rain. You shouldnt be launching the car anyway when it is raining. How does this benifit ANYTHING?
If you are spinning tires in the rain from 2-3rd, your driving like a complete idiot.
End of story.

change your tires if you're so damn unhappy.
instead of whining.. do something about it.

tCs don't suck in the rain. Most issues are due to lack of driver skill and driver error. Tires do have some affect, but if you know what their limitations are, you can adjust. I didn't have an issues on Potenzas in the rain and I don't have any with Falken RT 615 with less than 50% tread left.

I don't think that any cars suck in the rain more than any others. Cars are designed for both dry and wet conditions, but they will always perform better in the dry. When it gets wet, you just have to drive a bit slower and less aggressively. When it's wet, you will always be operating closer to the edge of losing control, so you need to know where the limitations lie.
I recommend that everyone goes to an empty parking lot on a rainy day and discovers the limitations of their cars in the wet. Find out how much gas is enough to break traction, and find out how fast you have to take a corner in order to spin out. Once you know how much is too much, then you will be a better driver on the road because you will know your limits.
