Default Teenager ran a red light into the front portion of my car

Pretty short story: I was making a left turn, green arrow and all - suddenly a black truck oncoming hits me at the right front fender. He must have been going nearly 35mph. I need stitches on my face and my brother had a concussion, and a seizure attack. The other driver admitted to running the red light because he the the green arrow was his green to go straight. Odd thing, just as I was making that turn I thought that the intersection was dangerous, and yea right then I was hit. Here are some pictures. Waiting for a police report.

I did a lot with the car too. Lowered, tinted. Biggest thing about the car was that I built a computer for the car with a touchscreen, that had gps navigation and DVD video, with 10gigs of music and such.

i was actually in the same situation today, got the green light started going left but i stopped cuz i thought the oncoming cars were coming at me like in the above case, except there were two oncoming left lanes and i didnt realize so they both went at the samed time, and spooked me. funny since i drive on the same interesection at least once a week but still got a lil paranoid.

Good to see no one survived. If you buy another tC you should be tempted to the get the side air bag upgrade, if you're ever hit like this again You'll be a lot more protected.

Ya... I was like "wait... that doesn't sound right."

Insurance shouldn't be too bad for you since the other guy should be paying for it. Biggest thing would be to get them to cover the "extras". Not sure how that works out.

How did you get banged up so bad, no seatbelts?

I saw an accident on the way to my girlfriends apartment yesterday...

This woman slammed into the back of an element, and put her girlfriend through
the windshield because of no safety belt. Looked grusome! Cut up her neck good!
I'd be surprised if she survived that.

Anywho, sorry about your car bro, I hope all gets healed up on you and the car soon!

Wow! Sorry about your car! Is it a total loss, or can it be fixed?

Good luck with everything and be safe!

Yes sir, GET A LAWYER!

Just call up any personal injury lawyer you find in your phonebook (Find one with a big full page ad... they make the most $$, and are usually more sucessful).

They'll get all your medical bills paid, and hopefully a nice check after your treatment is over.

Personal Injury Lawyers get a fat cut of the money they get from the insurance or lawsuit settlement (33.33% around here), but they won't take any $ from your car loan settlement, or medical bills. Also, they shouldn't charge you ANYTHING if they can't get a settlement.

I did this at the advice of a friend after my accident, and I got a fatass check on top of my medical bills and car loan being paid off.

And keep any receipts or documentation that you got when you went to the hospital (I'm assuming you went right after the accident). They lawyer will need this, and he or she will get your $$ back
