Release Series for the tC usually come out in April or May. It has been like that with the RS1.0 and RS2.0.

 

are you sure the insurance is going to total that ? only looks like 7-8K in damage if the airbags are ok ...

Nobody but Scion knows about the RS3 right now, it's all just speculation at this point.

8k worth of damage BUT 13k was the amount that the inspector said it would cost to fix it like brand new.

I took the cash, 20k plus some change.
I want to wait for the rs3 but too long.

Think I would be able to sell parts of the broken car to make up for that 4k different and still profit?

 

That probably depends how much of the RS stuff is still in tact. If all 3 seats are unscathed, you can get a couple hundred there. If all the rims are perfect, those should fetch several hundred since they're limited edition rims...mechanically you don't really have anything. You can sell your tail lights, little subwoofer, and perhaps...trunk and miscellaneous interior bits (console, steering wheel) for some more change.

You might want to see what's salvagable, then assign prices to everything that is that make it add up to >$4k. If you can get a list of that and post it here for people to put their names on certain items, then you might be able to make a profit. It would be pretty close though.

What you can do though...is pocket the $20k, keep your VIN #, let Toyota know your car is jacked up, and order those fancy RS parts for other people and have them pay you a *slight* markup for said parts. Then it's like the gift that keeps on giving.

I love my RS 2, but I would trade mine for that tC in a hurry.

 

At NAIAS (i think thats where it was at some recent car show) scion had a RS 3.0 on a stand. Look around on here there was a thread about it maybe a month ago or less.
