Default Things you found about the tC AFTER you bought it

1. It's a heavy car. Before I bought it, it looks fairly light and nimble. I didn't bother test driving it since I was 100% sure that I wanted it. Besides, someone was trying to buy my RS2 as well so I had to act fast. After a little over 2 months of owning mine, I can conclude that it's a heavy car (no "duh" comments please ). When I slam on the brakes, it does stop fairly well, but it feels like it wants to keep going.

2. Gears are too low. When I drove it off the lot, I was looking around for a Hi-Lo selector like they do on 4WD vehicles. Seriously, the gears are really low. I wish that it had a 6th gear.

3. It has a horrible blind spot in the back. I nearly wiped out a cute blonde in a Civic when she was hiding in my blind spot.

Were the reasons enough to make me think twice about buying it?

No. Given my other choices were Matrix XRS and Honda Element... it's a no brainer.

after I bought my tC I found out that apparently everyone else went out and bought one that same week.

I actually just found out last weekend, 1 yr after getting my first tC, and now on my 2nd tC that when you lock the doors, the lights blink once, and when you unlock the doors the lights blink twice.

I hate how you have very little room to put your own custom exhaust. I don't want to pay $500 for one that someone else made.

I want a Flowmaster darn it!

I don't think you can squeeze this:

eh ... well .. I unno how big that flowmaster muffler really is, but remove the shielding, shorten/adjust your exhaust piping accordingly, you might be able to fit it.

I smoked a Corolla S, that was debadged, to make people think that it might be an XRS.

XRS has rear discs, this one didn't, even though he had stock XRS rims. I love the smell of burnt rice.

Um, my complaints... How easily the side skirts get dirty (white car). Horribly short 1st gear. I've been driving my tC for 3 months and I still manage to bunny hop in 1st gear a few times a week.

I love the car... There's very few small complaints. None worth going out for another car.

After having the car for a month, my girlfriend discovered that the sunroof will go back another inch or so if you hit the button again. I felt dumb.
Oh and I discovered that I really can't find a comfortable driving position; either my legs are fine and I feel like I'm reaching for the steering wheel or my arms are fine and my legs are too cramped - or my head hits the headliner (I'm 6'3")

The 'easter eggs' in the stereo's firmware

The low final drive on the 5-speed (really could use a 6-speed or a higher final)

The 127-mph rev limiter (like I ever go that fast anyways, but...)

The ugly amber backlighting on the gauges and HVAC (getting changed soon)

The 2-way floor mats (finially discovered those when I checked out the CDROM that came with the car)
