Thinking If Getting Scion TC
Hello everyone!
Im here to ask a few questions about the Scion Tc, Well the reason why Im thinking of getting a TC because of the price and the reliablity of Toyota. Anyways im thinking of trading in my 2002 Nissan SE-R (32K miles), U think its worth the trade-in? Will you think I'll lose my money? I have 9k to pay off my SE-R, but its time for me to trade-in because of stupid recalls and still having problems but nothing major. Let me know guys, cause im starting to love how these cars look, the IS300 foglight Loooks HoTT.
The SE-R is probably faster but i just want a reliable car that aslo still looks NICE!

you wont be disappointed the tC in my opinion with no lies is worth every cent i love my tc and everyone that looks at it loves it too. the acceleration is remarkable and the torque is off the hook with a nice sporty look and good lookin moonroof. the car is reliable and all u have to worry is what color?
If you frequent the vboard or b15sentra.net you would know me as POS Spec for obvious reasons. Trading an early build 02' spec would be the best thing you ever did. While the TC has nowhere near the stock torque that the spec does, it has way more potential in the long run (beefier motor and way better aftermarket). It looks better and rides smoother. Do it

my friend has an SE-R and trust me, its not that much faster than the tC, if any faster at all. So i wouldnt worry about that, what i would worry about is your Sentra breaking down before you get to sell it.

Definetly sell it, the dealer will just tack on the 9k, so you'll end up paying it anyway. I thought the only thing you may have missed would have been the 6th speed, but since you don't have a Spec I guess it doesn't matter.
And keep in mind that the IS300 fogs can't be put in w/o cutting the bumper--as of right now.

Thanks alot guys for the suggestions. TTYL
Go test drive the TC, I did and loved it. My dad has an SE-R, Its alright, but he got around 180 thousand miles on it and its still running. Had major issues but he doesnt want to get rid since its still running. I had alot more fun driving the tc than my pops car. Im not into speed anymore but its a great car to get around.

put an intake & header on the tC for less then $550 and you'll get 15lbs/ft. of torque easy.
I'm in the same kind of boat. I know a guy at a Nissan Dealership who will cut me a deal, deep deal on the Spec V. I still really like the tC, and still want it.
Are the flaws in the Spec V deep enough to peg it that much further from the tC if I can get them for near the same price?
