Im not very happy with the car and i was wondering how much i could get for it before deciding to sell it. its 3 month old just hit my 5k miles. any sugestions on how much it could sell for?.

by the way im a long time reader of scionlife but i didnt join till now. because of this site i find out about the tc rs. I would show pics but its a stock model, nothing new to see.

What are you dissapointed with?
A good bet would be ebay. First of all, it is an RS. 1.0 limited model, and people might pay more just for that. I would say roughly 16-17 thousand.

Why did you get a tC if you could afford a Acura or BMW? You must have money to waste/burn!! Nice problem to have.

I could easily afford a BMW, but like a Civic there are TONS of them everywhere! I got a TC because it was a coupe, pretty quick, quiet on the road, and handles amazing with a few cheap mods. The only car I had to seriously think about was a G35 Coupe, but thought since I put so many miles on my car I would be loosing WAY more money on an expensive car then a cheaper one.

On topic. An RS1 should fetch 15,500-16,500 from a dealer. Easily that much from a Private Party.

lol i got an RS1.0 in April, and three months later got a TSX. TSX is a great luxury car, but it's the 1st four door I've ever owned. I think it's big and bulky and I still have gotten used to driving such a big car.

I was looking at a 3 series also. In a lot of aspects, I wish I would have gotten it, but hey... my next car will be back up in the more luxury market.

I went from the turbo IS300 to the tC, and there are some things the tC just can't deliver.

My wife got a 2005 325 Xi. The inside is pretty small though. I rather sit in the back of a Tc than a 325. If I was going to spend 40k+ on a car, I would buy infinity for sure M35! or M45

I think this is about where I am with the tc as well. HOWEver, If u could afford a nicer car, why did u get the cheaper car, only to sell/trade it a year later. While u say u wanted it because theres so many civics and Bimmers around, it seems like u bought the tc just because it was a new car/popular fad and it looked good. IMO thats indiscriminant spending, u must be a millionaire's kid...and u hopped right on the scion bandwagon to try to be cool and now that u haven't gotten the "recognition" you were hoping for u need to trade in a good car for something "luxurious" so u can feel superior and special. No offense, but I hate owners like u. That'd be like me buying a hybrid and running around tellin people what great mileage I get, then after a year trading up for an STI. You contradict your own statements. If u could afford a bimmer in the first place, then you're not a target scion demographic, and we don't need ya. Have fun trying to be cool in your luxury car, my tc will get me where I want to go just as quickly and safely.
