Thinking of trading in the xb for a tc...
i have a n 06 tcm xb with almost 39k miles on it ive had it less than a year but lateley ive been thinking about getting a tc.. anyone know how it works if i still owe money on the xb how i would go about the trade?
sell it private party ftw! the dealer will try to sway you into trading it in most likely with the ol... ' it is so much easier to just trade it in now and not haggle with selling it' which is somewhat true, but you will get considerably less from a dealer on a trade in than if you were to sell it on your own.
If you haven't already done so, check what you owe on the xB. After only having it for less than a year you have likely not finished paying off the interest you owe on it. So, by selling it, you are going to take a huge loss on what you owe.
You're going to have to tack the difference of what you owe for the xB after selling it onto the price of the tC to get an accurate idea of what the car is going to cost you.
I would say keep the xB and see what the next gen tC looks like.
