Has anybody received a ticket for having there taillights tinted.. if so how much? got mine on new years on the 14 near valencia

 

i got pulled over today for exhaust and tinted license plate cover, i have tinted tails too but the cop didnt notice them

 

I had mine for about a good 6 months..driving in front of cops, watever......but i just got a ticket a couple of months ago...stupid dc cop have nothing better to do....he gave me a fixit ticket...10$ ticket

 

On my ticket its not fixebale.. Bastard

 

damn..then he must of really be bored...u can try to fix it and then get it signed off..but dont kno if it would work cus my friend had a non correctable window tint ticket but he took it off and got it signed and they accpeted it so iono

 

it all comes down to how much tint is on them..If you check the other threads in the past..JUST a little TOOOOOOOO much tint...

i use to have mine tinted back when i first got my car. got pulled over a 1st time and the cop let me fix it. i went back to have them re-tinted and they SAME cop pulls me over a month later, again he let me fix it.....but he said if he saw me with it again it wouldnt be fixable so i gave up.

 

mine weren't even dark either you could see them perfectly in the day time. Were urs darker OP?

 

its according to your states laws...in NC, they have to appear red in the daytime from 500ft away..and i think that means when the brakes are not pressed.

 

wow that sucks. I've had mine for about a year now and still no ticket **knocks on wood** Its amazing how some will get away with it for years and some get caught the same weekend. Mine are pitch black too.

 

let me get this straight, you were breaking the law and the cop was doing his job by enforcing the law and he is the stupid one?

 

all i meant was its stupid b/c it really depends on the discretion of whoever is pulling you over seeing how i drove in front of cops alot of times and only being pulled over once cause of them.

 

ive been going back and forth about tinting my tails.

but any tinting of the reflectors is illegal in cali.

 

i got pulled over 2x by tint tails.. first yes, got me 10$..then 2nd.. i got $170 here in san fernandp valley ca.

 

time for anzos lol

 

i had them but then i had to trade for oem headlights... <sigh>

i got pulled over on my birthday but my license plate cover and my tinted windows... i goy a fix it ticket but i love my windows
