Which Tint Configuration?
I am still debating on how dark I am going to tint my Silver tC so I wanted to see what everyone prefers. Hard to tell what it will look like until it is done so if you have your tC tinted or have an idea what it will look like please pick the one you like best! All the film will be 3M.
Also, does anyone know what % tint our roof is?
Thanks!

tinted my flint mica 14% all around except for windshield, looks very clean. In my opinion, on a two door car it will look awkward if you tint the front doors and the back windows differently.

.
I wish I could do 15% all around but I don't want to risk a ticket and 35% is already too dark according to CA law. I am leaning towards 35 front and 15 back. Have to see if I can find a tint like that on a few cars to see what it looks like. I am going for more of a sporty look then luxury but don't want to cross into ricer territory with an odd looking tint.

So do I have the percentages wrong? When i was at the tint shop they had 35% as medium 15% as dark and then 5% limo. No 20% but everyone keeps saying that number. Does it vary depending on film manufacturer?
I like the way 3M stands behind their film but I was quoted $225 to do the whole car with 3M film so I am debating on that also.

Okay, I just got mine done with 3M and I am very happy with it after living with it over the weekend:
5% on the back window (really helped make it feel darker overall)
20% on the 4 side windows (almost legal)
50% on the 2 sunroofs (my installer said he has seen sunroofs crack when they are tinted darker from the heat, anyone else ever heard of this? I'm in AZ by the way).
50% entire windshield (make sure you have a GOOD installer that can do it in one piece and not noticable on the edges).
The sides don't look noticably different from the back unless you know it is.

Good luck.

Dark is definately better. I have limo all the way and 15% on the front windshield. Looks awesome and have no visibility problems. Also the police around my area could care less about the tint on cars.

Mine isn't near as dark as Tampa's. His looks good, but my night vision isn't what it used to be.
