35 is lighter than 20.....so it must be lower than 20. The percentage is in regards to the amount of visible light that the film allows to come through (light transmission).

You learn something new everyday.

^^^ yup.

I have a question without starting a new thread. I got mine tinted last weekend but on the rear window he didn't tint all the way to the top. He stopped where the factory tint starts. He said it was due to the teflon material on the window and that the tint won't stick to it well so I believed him. I'll try and take some pics...

Is anyone elses like this, or is yours tinted all the way to the top?

Yeah you got ripped off , my tint goes to the very far edges of the windows . Ok I do have one thing I gotta say about window tint . It seems (just my observation) ever since I got my windows tinted it just makes the car appear to be sleeker if that makes sence . Like the roof line is lower than it was before . even though i know there isnt any physcial change of the vehicle .Maybe its just me and the florida sun cookin briancells LOL

This is the way a "real" professional will do it. It sticks better, too.
Less chances of problems (ie. bubbling up)

That does look dark though. It certainly is for "MY" state...

Those tint installers who did not go all the way up have really no idea what they are talking about. You can go all the way around and the dot matrix on the tc is thin, compared to BMWs or Fords. It will stick unless its Solar gard cause that film is garbage . No really though avoid solar gard... not a good product especially if u live in hot climates like florida or arizona.

I agree with Kowsk- tC looks a lot different with tinted windows! Mine is 20% hatch & 35% on the sides. My tint is 3M Tint. Its guaranteed for life of car. Any peeling, bubbling or cracking, I get it replaced for free. My hatch tint goes all the way to the top. Indecisive311 you got screwed. Sorry to hear that. Click my "Profile" to see my tint.
