Tired of this battery!!!
indeed, props to Dr. Iso on the battery cover
. very clean and rather original among our tCs
But yea, seriously... its just a battery heh. I rather like the look of our black and white Panasonics myself, but I guess I'm in the minority here

Reserve capacity and available amps far below that of a fullsize gelcell. The reserve capacity on the Odyssey 680 is 25 minutes, so you can forget playing the stereo with the car off, and you'd better make sure you don't leave the lights on, either (the headlights will sap that battery in about an hour and a quarter).
I see a lot of 680s at the track, but very few people are using them in daily drivers.

No, at 39lbs and 55lbs respectively, the Kinetiks are both fullsize batteries. The hc1800 has a thundering 1900CA and it rated for 81 amp hours... kinda what you'd use in something like an ambulance or tow truck.
racingsolution.com has a polished aluminum battery cover

^^only works with stock batt though. question's still alive...is 1900 CA overkill for a 900 watt rms stereo? i mean id love for the thing to put out 14.4....but does that rely on the alternator more than the battery? (would i need to upgrade alt instead of batt)....and would i be able to get 14.4 with the 1400 instead of the 1800? ive been leaning towards kinetik for a long time but batteries aren't my field of expertise....and i dont want my batt dying cause i play my stereo with the car off for 25 mins....seems like the 1800 would let the stereo play for a good 8 hours or so with the car off wouldnt it?
