Toyota emblem = rice?
i dunno how to do a poll...but was wondering on everyones' thoughts on toyota emblems on the scion tc....in my opinion, it a bit ricey..but nothing too extreme...anyone else?
I dont see how it can be rice, Specially on the xa and xb since they started as Toyotas. Also, since Scion is really toyota, i dont think it makes a big difference. Wouldnt call it ricey though.
It wouldn't be as Scions are toyotas with a different badge. On my xA, i took out all the exterior scion badges and put the toyota emblems or what not needed to have that jdm look.
Well the xA and the xB are rebadged toyota cars... so I don't see a problem with having that JDM look with Toyota emblems (much like acura owners replace their badges with honda ones). However the tC is not a rebadged toyota. It was developed exclusively for Scion and for the American consumer. So I might have to consider that rice. Just my .02

most of the modifications done by Rice-Boy do not actually increase the performance of his car by any significant amount, but rather, try to give the appearance of high-performance. What most Rice-Boys seem to not know is that many of the things they do to their cars to make them faster actually hurt the performance.
1. rice n. A cereal grass (Oryza sativa) that is cultivated extensively in warm climates for its edible grain. The starchy grain of this plant, used as a staple food throughout the world.
2. rice - adj. Word used to describe cliches in the import tuner car culture. Any unnecessary exterior modification that does not help and even hinders the performance or styling of a Japanese import.

both the badges are ugly in my opinion. too freaking big. remember the days when we had smaller emblems? those were nice and not too big.
i already debadged the tC emblem and am gonna work my way to the scion badging as soon as i see some groove replacements for those.

Scion is more Toyota than Lexus. Right now Scion does not have it's on seperate dealership network. It relies on Toyota.
Personally I would debadge all the emblems. I dont need to continue to advertise for Scion and not being payed for it.
