Default Trade in Value?

I just wanted to know what people have gotten for trade ins on their tCs. I'm strongly considering trading mine in for an S2000, since I've always wanted one. I should have got in the first place, but I thought the mix of snow and RWD is not a good one. Since I'll be back in California pretty soon, thats no longer an issue. I saw edmunds listed my car at a trade in of 14k, but I was wondering what people have actually been getting. Thanks.

my guess would be way more than 14k. probably what you paid or more. the dealer in town has sold stock tCs for more than a new one, and this is at the toyota/scion dealer too. There is a used xB sittin out there right now, an 05 manual with 19k miles, at the asking price of $15992. it's stock as well.

Yeah I agree with this. Dont forget they are in it to make money and on used cars you can talk them down in price. They will have to spend a little money to check everything over and get it all cleaned up like new again. If you get 14k for a trade then they might turn around and try selling it for 17k.

I traded my Mazda in for 1k and they ended up trying to sell it at 3k. The probably end up making a few hundred after getting talked down in price and having to do some little repairs and cleaning. The money miles on a used car the more they have to spend to make it sellable again even for Toyotas.
