i wouldnt take that. I would say maybe $13,000-$14,700? Big price range but depeding on the condition of the car interior, exterior and engine it could be a big difference. Any mods on your tC?

well, i mean, if you selling it to a dealership, they usually want to make a profit on it when they sell it, so yeah, aren't they going to low ball you alittle so they can sell it for $13,000 to $14,700?

Kelly Blue Book says $16525 for a private party sale. Try printing that page out and showing the guy. Maybe he will go up on what he is willing to give you.

private party and trade in is a big differance. The best way for you to go about the z is to not tell them your trading your tC in untill you are almost done the deal. Its kindof hard to explain though.

Yeah, but he said he was looking at the car by his house so I figured it was a neighbor or something selling his car.

He's trying to low ball because he's had a hard time getting the profit he wants out of a used car. He wants to list the car with a $4 - 5k profit margin, so he can over allow on trades and discount to give the illusion of a good deal, and still make 1500 to 2k. He's had a hard time doing this when he pays 13k, and hasn't made what he feels he should in the past, so he's adapted to his local market conditions.
