Default Traded in the scion tc for a new whip.

Well its been a bumpy ride as a scion owner but its been great. The auto tranny started to give out and dealer did want to do warranty repair so i traded it in for a new car.

Instead of going with another tC, i went for something with better fuel economy and more power. So i got a 2008 Altima coupe 2.5s 6 speed manual

It been great here and wish you all the best.

I'm looking at the dash.. does it remind you to use a clutch? lol or is that just to remind you of how to start a manual trans car??

it uses intelligent key, so the car starts by push button.i got the 2.5 because i drive close to 500 miles a week, and gas is hell. I still have a mistubishi eclipse gst that i use for fun and power 290 whp. It more economic and more powerful then my old tc so im happy with it. After 4 yrs with tc i feel likes its a good change, even though i really hope to build a monster of a tC once i graduate college and my internship at boeing turns into a full time job .

^that's cool man, seems like you made a good choice by gettting something more economic while still having another car to mess around with. how many miles did your auto tc have if you don't mind me asking because i am debating on trading it in since it probably won't last me much longer the way it drives now a days.

ah, you shouldve sprung for the v6
unfortunately I dont consider the 2 liter version much of an upgrade over the tc.

as long as you're happy with it.

To RodC: I also work for IDS at long beach. I do data editing for the stress analysis group. I see quite a few scions in the parking lot there, so maybe i might have seen urs.

To ERIK-TC: Ive already gone through my first tank since having it friday and i averaged about 36mpg driving with traffic. That 6th gear works wonders.

On average with my tc i would get 29 all highway, and best i ever got was 32. (I keep a weekly log of my fuel economy lol im **** when it comes to fuel).

To AcidDrop: My auto tC had 56k miles on it. I got 10k for the trade in. It was an 05 (purchased sept 04), had tons of door dings no thanks to school, paint was all chipped in front due to all highway and LA traffic miles. And the transmission was failing in 3rd gear. Also one of my axles were bent from slammin over a pothole on the 10 freeway hahaha. Good thing the dealers wanted us out so they only did a visual and not a mechanical inpection on the car. (Always do trades at midnight lol)

To RnB180: Honeslty i would have gone with the V6 version because i love the VQ35, however it would be both irrational and illogical of me to do so, considering gas prices and the amount of driving i do. Its 88 mile round trip for school, 72 round trip for work, and days with both work and school its 122 miles round trip. Also power wise the altima gets about 160 to the wheels (175 to the crank), the tc is about 140 to the wheels with a 5sp, and the auto is about 120 to the wheels.

I hear ya guys about the front end, i do plan on switchin over to a stillen bumper instead once i get the car paid off by the end of the yr.

here is my old SSM tC when it was still new

and a pic of my FUN car

I work out of Seal Beach, although I had my orientation at Long Beach. On what date did you have your employee orientation?
