Traded in the tC for a 350z
On sunday I got rid of the tC for a '04 Daytona Blue 350z (6speed).. I hated to get rid of the car because it never gave me 1 problem after 160 time slips (I counted them a few days ago), and 300+ launches. This was on a stock clutch, and it still felt brand new when I got rid of it.
I went from 3rd to 2nd gear by mistake twice and the car didn't even hesitate. That's a good transmition.
I was going to get a mazdaspeed3 but mazda wouldn't give me a dime more then 11k for my car. I went to nissan and got 14,900 for it.. It was a '05 with 32,000 miles. Gotta love toyota resale.
Good luck with the Scion's everyone, I probably won't be on here much anymore.

Thanks man. My payment really isn't that much more, about $45 more each month. I say if you want one, go get one.. It's a '04 with 21,000 miles and it was 19k. If you can afford a new tC then I'm pretty sure you can afford a used Z.
It's a base model.. I really couldn't find a good price on anything but base models.
The only 2 options I wish it had was the HID headlights and LSD.. I'll probably end up putting in the nismo LSD because the stock one sucks anyways and I'm currently looking for HID's from one in a junkyard that was hit from behind or in the side.
I'm loving the RWD and more power.

Congrates. I had a down payment for an 07' 350z but changed my mind and decided to turbo the tC. Good luck with it though, i heard they love to burn oil, and the clutch love to go quick

However, I did mention there was a noise the car was making when I turned it off, it was a rattle that sounded like a throw-out-bearing to me. I took it into them on monday (the day after I bought it) and they ordered a brand new transmition which they'll be putting in thursday or friday. Service manager told me there was a recall on the tranny.
Congrats on the car man...she's abeauty.
But as a long running inside joke between my friends and I goes...The 350z is the poor man's Porsche. The tC is the poor man's Z. No offense to anyone, but there is some truth int that.

Good luck with the Z. I've never driven a Z...but my tC was in the shop for 2 months because of an accident. During that time I rented an 07 Infiniti G35 to drive for the duration...it was so bad ___. Really hard to give it up and get back in the tC. I'm starting to love the tC again though.
