Default Trading TC for 04' GTO?!?

Just wondering what is some of your thoughts on this. I was toying around with this idea. I looked into ins. and it comes out about the same (don't ask me how). It is the 04' with the 5.7 Ls1. I know the 6.0 have more horse but they are more expensive and get worse gas mileage and are more to insure. Now the Ls1 is backed with a six speed and get almost near 30 mpg. hwy. I know this to be true because my buddy has a 98' vette with a ls1 and he said thats what he gets. I took into account the weight difference. I dont know though because I don't want to be considered a "tuner" and thats all Im getting driving the Tc. Its just not my style. I can get the GTO for near or less than what I am paying for the Tc and the GTO runs mid 13's and sounds pretty beasty. So Im just throwing this out there.

If you like it and makes you happy then do it! Don't go asking for opinions cause then if you don't like your going to say "someone else said it would be good and it sucks!" If you do it, do it because you really want to and not because someone else said it would be good and if you don't like it down the road the only guilty is gonna be you.

PS: not saying the GTO is a POS because it's a pretty nice car and sounds nice too!

I'd jump in a GTO if I had the opportunity.

Like everyone is saying, if you want it, get it. Do it because you want to not because others tell you! I honestly was going to get one as soon as they were released but my financial status took a dump at the time and there went my plans for a GTO. So if I were you, I would do it.

Id jump on that deal if i could afford it. The GTO is sweet and who cares about it being the 5.7 it still is a hell of an engine and has a hell of an aftermarket if you do want to beef it up. Plus i dont like the hood on the 6.0 GTO i dont like the vent placement. But if you get it have fun they sound so nice and haul butt.

I, personally, wouldn't. The tC looks great and the GTO looks....kinda like a larger Cavalier (IMO). Different strokes though, do what make you happy.

I agree with the cap'n...

The new GTOs are kinda plain.....

Get the 1967 GTO....tri-power 400, posi with a 4-speed....13 seconds in STYLE!!!

Or just shoot the moon and get a '66 Nova SS or Chevelle.....

Kid at my school has a very nice Nova. He's a major motor head, go figure.

This is a tough one. GTOs are very nice. I wouldn't mind having one.

I think I am going to go for it. I just need to figure out the payments and sell some of my Tc stuff. Oh and by the way I dont want an Evo. Ill look like every other tool driving around in those and Ins. on those is ridiculous.
