I would have thought for an extra 200? go ahead and get the Brembo Gran Turismo Kit..but this includes front and rear rotors correct? However, just upgraded calipers for the fronts?
All in all though VERY NICE!!!
I already had the black TRD wheels on my ride before the BBK was installed. $210 a pop plus a buy 3 get 1 free deal on the Toyo Proxes 4 rubbers.
Regarding clearance, most manufacturers of BBKs can provide you with a diagram that you can cut out to see whether your wheels have enough room for the larger calipers. Never assume getting larger diameter wheels automatically means you’re safe.
TRD makes BBKs for the Celica, Lexus IS, Matrix, Sequoia, Tundra and XRunner.
The front kit includes larger diameter slotted rotors, calipers, performance brake pads and stainless steel braided brake lines. These are produced by StopTech for TRD. You can order them online from trdsparks.com or newtoyotaparts.com. Search for the Celica front big brake kit. I actually purchased mine from Carson Toyota, their parts department runs newtoyotaparts.com and newscionparts.com. I know the parts manager there and he hooks me up with lower than wholesale prices.
I’m not too big on painted calipers, it’s either I got it or I don’t. I don’t feel the need to draw attention to a stock part.
The price I quoted was for the TRD front BBK only and does not include the PowerSlot Plus rear rotors, StopTech rear SS brake lines, Axxis rear performance pads and 3 bottles of Motul brake fluid.
Regarding the Turbo suggestion, as some one accurately pointed out, I have a TRD fetish. TRD will always be my first choice. After I get the supercharger I will have installed every single TRD part that can be installed on my vehicle.

the only reason i dont have these is because i want to keep my 17's. plus, TRD no longer sells BBKs with slotted rotors. all their new BBKs are drilled. i spoke to paul at TRD and he says a BBK for the tC will be released soon. i'll probably wait for those since i like the look of drilled rotors better than slotted. but i bet they stop great!

Are these really worth the price? That is a completely subjective question as different people put worth on different things. My answer is an obvious YES.
I'm surprised at your attention to detail jasonrs2. I was wondering if someone would pick that up. You right, I should have phrased is thus... “Every single performance part.” All those things you mentioned are on my list of course and will by purchased along with the supercharger. However, to the best of my knowledge, TRD does not offer a compatible boost gauge for the tC. [/quote]

I have no plans of switching out my springs and stuts for the coilovers. I put a lot of thought into deciding which of them to buy and in the end I figured that I would probably, if ever, adjust my ride height just once and never do so again. Plus being able to add the strut bar, sway bar and short shifter for about the same price just made too much sense.
