I've heard 1-2hp. Basically within the error range of the dyno. I think its just a sound/looks type of deal.

1-2 is not a practical number for a 2.4L motor.....

the celica's 2ZZ i used to have gained around 5-6 WHP from an axle back exhaust and that motor is a 1.8L...

i would guess that the 2.4L with the TRD exhaust system will put out around the same amount of HP around 5-6 WHP....

and any exhaust system should NOT be just a sound/looks type of modification IMHO

So probably the best exhaust system to buy for a 5spd tC would be the TRD Model right? (Not the borla one)

well i really dont know yet becuz no one has given us any feedback yet on the borla exhaust system....

i would hope that the borla cat-back system makes more power than the TRD axle-back but its hard to tell becuz once again i havent haeard of any1 with it yet....

as well as any dynos for any of the exhaust's so until we see those dyno numbers its hard to tell...but my guess would be the borla cat-back should make more power depending upon piping size compared to the TRD system....

do you feel that your engine is responding well to the exhaust? how does it drive now? can u make a comparision between a stock engine and yours with the exhaust?

Horsepower numbers will basically be a wash when comparing axle-back systems. There simoly is not that much power left in such a small component. If you want to include the price of the exhaust system with the purchase price of the vehicle then get the TRD one. If you are buying it after the fact, get whatever you think sounds the best. The difference in performance is not even measurable.
