Are the TRD exhaust and interior illumination kits just on back-order due to demand?

No word on any new TRD parts in the pipeline? Will TRD have a large presence at SEMA?

Hi Jason
The TRD exhaust and interior illumination are on backorder due to demand . I don't think Scion realized the demand for these when they first released the tc . They had a initial supply of the exhaust on hand when the car was released but they were gone in a matter of about a week . We got a few in but no where near enough to fill the orders that were coming in . I keep seeing the rumor post about a recall on the exhaust .I spoke to the TRD regional sales manager he has not heard of any problems .

Great post on the sub install w/pics one of the best post I have seen you took some time putting that together https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22943

Thanks for clarification on the TRD Exhaust. Wish people would get their facts straight before "alarming" the group about a possible recall/problem that turns out to be bogus....

I got my TRD exhaust about two and a half weeks ago. Wonder why Scion is saying that date. I was told though, that my exhaust was pulled off of a Scion Drive experience( or whatever its called) tC, and sent to my dealer, specially for me.
Yay.

I noticed you have pics of the foglights now. I am on the fence as to their looks right now. I'd have to see them in person I think to make my final decision. I'd also want to replace the halogen bulbs with xenon ones as I prefer the white light look. Any idea what kind of bulbs they use? I'm assuming this could be a DIY and the kit comes with a switch to add to your dash?

I think the pedestal spoiler looks kind of cheesy in my opinion. I have the lip spoiler and I dig it. Subtle and classy. But who knows, it could look good with the right set up.

As a progenitor "alarmist" about the exhaust recall, all I can say is if you don't bring it up you don't get it answered. Better to have it out in the open in this forum and dealt with than listening to some crap from the salesperson and taking it hook, line and sinker. Exactly how do you think a consumer should "get the facts straight" besides asking in an open forum?
