TRD Modifications?
I have seen a lot of posts here talking about the TRD springs. I plan on installing these once my tC is FINALLY in...but I need someone to help me understand the advantage of the TRD shocks.
What advantage will these shocks give me over the stock shocks provided?
Ride stiffness?
I am mainly looking for corning improvment, I don;t care what the ride feels like (to a point).

The TRD struts have higher damping rates so they'll work better with the higher-rate TRD springs or other aftermarket springs. They shouldn't make the ride much stiffer, but they should be able to manage the movement of the car on the TRD springs better.
The stock struts will die eventually, just like all struts. Yes, the TRD springs with their higher rates will accelerate wear, but the stock struts will still probably outlast your warranty.
Persoanlly, I'm getting the TRD springs, but I won't upgrade the struts until the originals wear out. I also plan on getting the TRD rear sway bar, which will make a bigger difference in handling than the struts.

Strut tower braces reduce chassis flex. On a very flexible chassis they can have the same effect as a sway bar, but on most modern cars they don't do nearly as much as a sway bar would. The tC, in particular, has the front strut mounts attached to both the A-pillars and firewall, so they're not going to flex much to begin with. The front strut bar on the tC is more cosmetic than anything.
