Default The TRD supercharger? quite expensive

i heard if you include the TRD supercharger for the tC, they will charge you 4.5k extra... thats true right???

thats alot for a piece of supercharger... do they replace most of the extra pieces includin the ones to make it fit???

there ar plenty of supercharger and turbokits thats under 4k and they also include an intercooler....

theres a place where i live called Nopi and the made a deal with my friends car to put a turbo kit with intercooler for 3k.... he got a 2001 Accord v6....

i dont know... tC just came out so ima wait intill other manufacturers make superchargers for tC... my friends nissan blew his engine out because of turbo and my other friend had an RX-7 with turbo and that blew out too, but your not suppose to put turbo in rotary engines anyway.

anyone know any manufacturers made turbo or superchargers for the tC?

if not than whatever company start makin one someone should post it here.

Well, the good/great thing about it is that most forced induction applications will void your warranty, however the TRD Supercharger is a nice option for those that want to retain the factory warranty.

I think the whole point is that you're waranty will not be voided. They might underline limited however justincase you decide to blow up your engine by missuse of the s/c but the warranty should remain otherwise alot of people would go aftermarket. :D

im gonna purchase one and install it myself instead of having the dealer cuz they will charge way to much....

i got an estimate on TRD lowering springs installation and they wanted to charge me $300 for installation so i told them to X that out b/c i will install them myself for FREE....

for what i have been told from the east coast TOYOTA main office of Morris town, price should be around 4500-5k install.

about warranty, we all need to confirm. If Toyota didn't list will be warranty, it could be void.
Like WRX and Evo8, i hear alot from other say no warranty for those car because the turbo. That can be a problem if that is from factory.

It will be like all other TRD blower, pretty much up to the dealer if they want to warranty it. On the TRD website, it states stage 1 TRD parts, such as all the little stuff like axle back, springs, shocks will be covered if dealer installed. Stage 2 parts like the S/C may not be covered. Just like mopar parts for the SRT4s, alot of people think you keep your warranty, but its treated just like aftermarket parts, and its up to the dealer.

If your engine blows up after the blower, then it would be pretty easy to blaim it on racing or abuse.

You can either pay it, or go aftermarket, or do nothing.

TRD stuff has always been expensive. Most of it is decent quality. I very much dislike the tundra blower and band-aid stuff they have to do just to get it to work decent.

what good does the exhaust do besides it sound? thus far the only thing I'd consider getting from trd are the lowering springs.
