Just wanted to say that today I installed my tm shortshifter. Wow what a difference it is so much better then stock i dont even know how i drove with the stock shifter. For anyone thinking about getting it. Do it! Sorry for the worthless post just wanted to say how nice the shifter definately is.

Install wasnt bad at all but i had to take out the drivers seat. Lol im clumbsy and dropped a small clip needed to hold the linkage on under the seat and it fell in the seat slider track, wasnt bad though 5 bolts and its out. But if i didnt have to do that the install is really simple. Hardest part is getting the one clip off but the dremel works fine. Only took about 45 mins with the seat removal so its not that bad.

I was really thinking about getting this, but now I think I'm going to get the TRD quick shift. I'm waiting to order though when maybe they run a sale. I'm in no rush so I can at least wait til winter's over around here.

Default i got the b&m

it kicks ___ and the install was easy .the shifting is now short precise and notched and no weighted shiftknob needed. besides its B&M these guys practically invented shifter technology and have made quality products since my dad was "TUNING" hot rods

i was planned on installing the shifter next week, but i got really bored today. so i went ahead and installed it today. took a little over 40 mins. what took the longest to do was to dremel off that metal washer. i can understand why some people would get frustrated with it if they didnt have the right tools. i should be getting my shift **** tomorrow.

seems like the shifter to get is the B&M shifter because its is all around better.... is this true? That is the image i have in my head from reading the forms. Anybody agree? Not agree?

depends - I would much prefer the TWM due to the shifter height reduction (I feel the stock shifter sits way to high), and the B&M doesnt reduce the shifter height at all. Some people may disagree - its all a matter of opinion. I will wait for the creativecompacts.com shifter to come out - supposedly a direct TWM copy that comes with a shift **** for $79 shipped. Should be out next month.

TWM i think has the shortest throw, i think was 30 or 35% or something in reduction. i just installed mines yesterday and i like the way it feels, especially when downshifting...and for the people who say it takes too much force to shift, i dunno what theyre thinking! overall, good mod
