Default Unusual Problem- no key

I accidentally lost the only key to my 08 tC I am trying to get the car re-keyed. I have 2 blank keys and I have contacted the dealer about getting it done. The problem is that my car is facing forward in the garage and I can't put it in neutral to roll it out.

Is there a way to put a tC in neutral without the key and if not any ideas of what to do?

Look at your shifter. On the top left you will see a little door that you can pop open. After you pop that open take your key or a flat head screwdriver and push down. This will allow you to shift your car in neutral. Its a ____ lock over-ride.

You know... if it wasn't an automatic, this wouldn't be a problem.

Most dealerships will cut the key without the car being present. Just need your registration or insurance card or something with your vin on it. Then you can (un)lock the doors and put the car in the "on" position. From there you can move the shifter. It just won't start without the correct transponder chip.

Or you could do what was said above. But if you're getting towed be careful because the steering wheel will lock without a key in the ignition.
