How about none or other.
I wasn't looking to get a new vehicle really. However, my salivary glands had been working overtime with the tC. Second to that would probably been an xA with a few mods to keep as a daily driver as is my tC. Maybe a subaru of some sort, not necessarily the WRX.
I still have my truck for other purposes.

plenty topics on this. but I had a 2003 3.5 Altima. I would have kept it too. I saw the Scion, and it called my name. If it wasnt for the Scion, I'd own the Altima.

My first Choice was a MINI COOPER S. Traded a MINI Cooper in for the Scion tC.

If it was not for the long waiting list and the insane dealer markups I would be rolling the MCS.

So my second choice was the Lotus Elise, but same thing again... hard to find and long waiting lists.

The Scion tC was an easy choice, it was on the floor, ready to go, well priced and moves.

Mazda 3 because of it's comparable to the tC. Actually, I wanted a Celica for light weight and VVTL-i or a RSX but their prices are a bit high when compared to the tC. I suppose I could've bought an Evo VIII but the practical side of me says insurance and maintenance will be hell.

I was considering waiting for the 06 VW GTI! But the nicer they get, the more expensive they get. I paid over $20K for my 01 GTI, and it was a big turd. Don't get me wrong, it was fast as hell, but it was falling apart from day one. When I tried figuring out how much the new platform would cost, I found the tC to be my best bet (and it has been).

My buddy got a SMOKIN' deal on a pre-modded '02 Subaru WRX. Not an STi but better than one. He actually got it for 14k (the dealer didn't know about the mods)! I would've gotten one of those but he already did.

I'm very happy w/ the tC tho.

My previous ride was a 94 Celica GT that I love...I can't stand what toyota did in modeling from the 6th to 7th gen. so at first around May -04 looking for a new ride I was hoping they would drop a redesigned Celica for 05 - no luck but I ran into the TC and the rumor it was possibly the replacement for the Celica - Great looks/price basically it was a wrap.

1. tC - waiting list too long, but i wasn't/still not in desperate need of a car
2. 05 Altima - you have to pay for ABS, if not for that i probably would have gotten bored waiting for the tC and went with the Altima. oh and everyone has one
3. RSX-type S - too pricey, even for used and insurance probably would've killed me
4. 04 Civic EX - not enough power

Mustang, I traded in my LS1 Camaro and drove my Jetta for a while, but now the kids can get in and out by themselves it was time to go back to 2 door baby. Anyway I would have got the Mustang but the oldlady blew a fuse, I got three kids and one would have to sit infront, which is within the law as long as they have a booster. but a mad oldlady was not worth the happiness a new GT stang would bring. So I got the TC just in case I had to carry all three kids, so far I've only carried one at a time,.

Mustang
TC
S40 ( I already had two new Volvos over the last 4 years)
TSX ( Yep but I would go crazy on hotrod parts)
