Good luck with your 'project' and post some 'before', 'during', and 'after' photos because it sounds like a very interesting transformation you will be doing.
I figure with it already has 60,000 on it once I boost it and beat on it a little I'm sure the stock internals of the engine and transmission it wont hold up to the abuse. From pics I have seen the rod bolts are the weakest link in the chain I'm sure I'll put a window in this current engine.
Man, by the time I boost mine I will have over 60000. I hope I get over 20K with it. But the cars look nice. If I had a chevelle I know where my money would go.

I have already spent so much on the Chevelle and have done so much to it.Its refreshing to mod something completely different.I plan on doing some work on my Chevelle this summer like detuning it.Its to much for the street and 4 miles to the gallon makes it tough to drive a lot.

Update-Ok its a small update hopefully I'll have a few pics up on Sunday.I installed MMW header/s-pipe.I was surprised on how easy it was to get my old exhaust off. With 60,000 miles expected to use some heat on it,but all the bolts came right out.Install was easier than I thought it would be too. After I took out the fans and disconnected the trans lines header dropped right in.I loosely assembled the entire exhaust and shifted everything as far away as I could from frame and other components and tightened it down.No leaks no banging no problems.I was even amazed when it was almost as quiet as stock.Even with my cat back being stock I expected it to be louder or even a vibration hum inside of the car but nothing.I'm very happy with the header everything went better than expected and the little bit of extra power is nice.

Next week Trd springs and Hotchkis front/rear sway bars.

Update-Ok I installed the sway bars today.I'm doing the springs Wednesday.Only took me two hours and part of that was putting my tools away.I think the instructions tell you to take off to much.I just took out the rear sub frame bolts and the the two nuts right above the control arms loose.I pried on the frame with a long bar and the sway popped out.No big deal thought everything went smooth. I'm sure if I had to do this on the ground/no impact it would take me another hour.

Did you get a CEL after the header install? Notice a difference with the sway? I was wondering if a rear sway would benefit my coil overs also..Keep up the good work

My header came with Cel eliminator so no problems here. The sway bars I havnt had a chance to really try them out on a curvy road yet,but the car seems to rock from side to side less with the sways. Thanks.

I been busting my ___ on the car so there should be a lot of updates over the next few weeks.Today was the TRD springs and since the car has some miles on it I decides to replace the struts at the same time.Only took me an hour to do the front, then I got to the rear and the first one took me an two hours to do.The second one only took 30 minutes since I knew what i was doing by then.Once I got it down the rear had a lot of negative camber.I put it back on lift and found a rear camber adjustment I tried to get it to close as zero as possible until I get my alignment in a few weeks.I really like the way it looks and should only get better as the springs settle.I know I need to post some pics just havnt had time since I been working on car I promise to get them up soon.

Ok day two of repaint I'm exhausted was up to 2am last night working on it got up at 6am to go back to work and started back on it again at 5pm.Its after 11pm and just got home.Car has been completely disassembled and can only go back together from here.I did all the body work and everything fixed has been primed. One big set back I was cutting out the quarter glass on the driver side and cut right through the molding so that glass will need to be replaced and retinted, The upside is the molding that rides against the door was half torn off and contemplated replacing it anyway now I have to.I learned my lesson pay the glass guy to cut it out.So tomorrow he should be coming to cut out the other glass.Tomorrow I'm going to block and wet sand the car and get it ready to paint Wednesday along with the :door handles, mirror covers. and rear trunk panel.I'll do the rocker panels and bumpers later on in the week.Still have much more to do need to fit front lip on bumper paint grill and i plan on painting a stripe on bumper between the two grills and on the lip. Also need to install my foglights.I.m sure I.m forgetting a few things took pics yesterday forgot camera today.

Ok major update and a little over due.I wanted to update sooner but I'm having a problem loading pics from my cam to my computer.I'm going to keep working at it hopefully I'll have them up soon.

Its painted and assembled been driving it for a week now.Front end is completely different from stock I'm really happy with results. The springs have settled and I just got a alignment.I spent the weekend steam cleaning my seats and cleaning a lot of the dirt off the engine.I'm ordering my wheels and tires this week and going to order the supercharger too.So June will be a busy month too.I'm going to do a few car shows soon and I'm going to check out Scion Evolution Chicago probably this Friday. Not many Scion owners modding there cars around here.I'll keep this post short and work on my Kodak problem and get some pics up.

I save until I want something.Plus I don't have any kids which is a big savings and me and my wife split the bills.I have only owned this car two months and it was completely stock when I bought it.
