I'll be getting a Scion soon and while I was in my friend's Scion and noticed that his can be controlled through the stereo system. Which is cool, but then when I wanted to search for a song, I couldn't do it on the Ipod, and scrolling through the stereo would take forever. Is there a way I can control the Ipod through the stereo and the Ipod at the same time?

 

if you just use the AUX.

 

Does that come with the Scion or would I have to buy it somewhere?

 

i think the AUX comes with the car. but the ipod connector you gotta buy.

 

you need a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable to plug the MP3 device into the center console plug

you can find them much much cheaper around the net and for the ipod thing i would just save up and get an aftermarket HU like the d3 that has awesome scrolling....

the ipod connector comes standard with the 2008 tc

 

yah my 08 came with both the AUX and the Ipod connector.

 

sorry, i gave the AUX to my buddy with an 06

 

you can switch the control on the ipod from controlled via the stereo to controlled via the ipod.

in the 08, turn off your stereo, hold down Audio Cont until it says direct control or something and toggle with your volume ****

 

will this work with the pre-08's ?
