So I removed the battery, and intake to get to motor mount so I can remove the lower control arm. I put every back in place, so when I started the car for a test drive it shut off on me. 2nd time again, then the 3rd the car was barely on, and close to shutting off. It's like every time I remove the battery it idles low. The last time I had this issue, was when I had to replace the battery, the car dropped under 1000rpms. This time around, the car could barely stay on.... Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

 

try cleaning the MAF sensor. I experience low RPMS once a year and this always fixes it. The other issue could be low voltage somewhere (electrical problem), which will be hell to diagnose.

 

when you remove the battery,you reset the ecu,let the car idle for a few mins and it will come back,

 

I ran the car for 5 plus minutes, and still was acting the same. I didn't take the car out today, but tomorrow I will take it to work, and some. Hope it comes back to life. Thank you all for your help.

 

i would disconnect batt for at least 20 mins,then reconnect and le tit sit for about 15 mins,and see what happens,i remeber where i had similar issues,where it took me like 2 ecu resets to get the idle back to normal

 

you have to drive the car like 10 or 12 miles and it will come back to normal. im sure you've figure that out by now tho.

 

You have to let the car re learn idle it'll take a while but look up the process I'm sure its on the Internet somewhere I've had other cars misifre every cylinder until they re learn their idle

 

Yea like "my06tc" said, it resets the computer and it has to re-adjust everything again. Ive done this TONS of times, and it does that every time without fail, but for me, it also has to re-learn how to auto roll up the windows. If you try to roll the windows up and down with the auto feature, OR the sunroof, it wont work, you will have to hold the button manually to work them. First time this happened i freaked out, but now ive done it so many times on my 06 tc that i expect it. What i do now, is take the car out and drive up and down the street a few times and let the car run for about 10 minutes or so, and repeatedly roll the windows up and down, and then everything corrects itself.
