Default Very Noob Question

I got my automatic RS4.0 tC not too long ago. It's my first nice car. I know it can be pushed pretty hard to drive, but I'm too scared because i've never driven a good enough car to be pushed. I'm just wondering how well the tC can hold up.

I've added a Hotchkis rear sway and I have the stock Yokahama tires. I am about to add an Injen cold air intake.

Would it be pushing it too hard if I floor it all the time? How about taking corners? Should I not be scared of taking corners fast? The handling is supposed to be good on this car right? Also it should grip the ground pretty well?

Wow.

First, learn your car, read the manual.

Why the hell would you want to floor it all the time? Does that make any sense? Why would you want to deliberately contribute to poor gas mileage and diminishing the life of your car? Any car will hold up well if you take care of it but if you want to beat the ____ out of the thing, don't expect it to treat you well for very long. Also, learn your car.

Stock tires suck, they are terrible. But why don't you go flying into a turn as fast as you can and tell us what happens. Go ahead, I anxiously await your review on that.

Use some common sense man.

lol yeah right, but man you have to learn your car. if you push it all the time, you're bound to break something, have something go bad, or you will be in the shop all the time. you just go the car, take the time to feel your car out, adding suspension is good but on stock tires, no es bueno. i don't know about everyone else but i waited at least till a few thousand miles after my first 3,000 mile oil change before started to really see what she could do. these are good cars, but they are only as good as you take care of them. be smart

Everyone is over-reacting. I'm asking simply for the limits of my car. I'm not actually going to floor it all the time. I'm not actually going to take corners like a mad man all the time. I have taken great care of it since I got it.

Find out for yourself. It is the inherent fun of driving. No, don't be an idiot and floor it all the time. Take care of your car. But don't have others tell you what it can do when you can go experience it yourself.

many people have autocrossed, dragged and even time attacked their cars in stockish form and these cars perform great and are very reliable.
your car will perform fine when you want to push it but of course you need to know the limits so you dont go into a corner harder than you should and hurt yourself or someone else.
i have been boosted for 10k miiles and i beat on it pretty good and before i was boosted i used to go on mountain runs all the time. i have 55k miles and its still running strong(i hope i didnt jinx myself lol).
btw why would you get an automatic if you want to push your car?

Just saying, you bought the wrong car for this. I cannot stand seeing tC's driving like absolute ____nuts. Accept that you drive an automatic grocery getter, and please do not endanger all the sane drivers on the road. And to answer your question, its a 160hp automatic. Its not like you're floor panels will fall out and you'll get a "danger to manifold" error. There aren't any "limits" to break.

Also, you have a Hotchkis rear sway bar ONLY? Ha, good luck with your major oversteer problem if you didn't get the front with it!

theres no limits all you have to do is step on the gas and go,you see a corner step on the brakes and turn, want to go faster tell the car i want to go faster and hopefully the car will get you up and going, dont forget theres not much to do but to let the car drive you since its and auto, maybe you can rev up to 6 grand and see what happens

I'd keep an eye out for a fake FM tC if I lived in GA.
