well when you get "caught" your ticket comes in the mail, and then it gives a citation #, and a site you can view the vid.

you gotta type the citation #, your plate number and a code, then you can view.

Damn, that's awesome. I've never had a camera ticket so I haven't had that opportunity yet. I don't think we have speed cameras in CA, but we do have red light cameras.

By the way, why did you slow down after passing the camera? Did it flash to take some still pictures?

Ouch. I've had a bunch, but nothing that serious. Although my girl got a ticket for $460 for running a red light across a bus transit line.

Btw, how fast were you going?

ya it hurt my pocket.. i was going 45 on a 35.

actualy here in new mex, there are a bunch off ppl fighting these cameras.saying its a form of entrapment. and there is a lawyer for all of us, and we will be having this giant hearing.

the day i go that ticket, i t was 6am, i was on my way to a car show :/.

i week later i got another ticket for $150, same light opposite side, and in the vid i am with traffic, and you can tell i wasnt speeding, i think the cameras have a hard time determining which vehicles are doig what., im also fighting that ticket, i have a court date for it, and in the vid you can clearly seee i didnt viloate anything. may post upon request

Damn. I am glad we don't have speed cameras in Cali. But the cops here have other ways of catching you for speeding. I got one of my speeding tickets on an almost-deserted highway, but apparently there was an aircraft overhead looking for speeders. There was a cop waiting for me at the end. Someone told me to challenge that type of ticket in court, but I showed up and lost. People also told me that the cops don't show up to traffic ticket hearings, but mine did. The cop in the court room was the pilot/co-pilot from the aircraft and apparently he had a long day in court because many people were challenging the same type of speeding ticket. However, the judge was on the cop's side.

ya man that sucks, the hearing i have coming up, there is gonna be an officer there, wich is dumb cause a human officer didnt give me a ticket...

anywyas, my first vid looks fast cause i used a screen recorded to capture it, so it speeds up the video. the site of the citations and vids doesnt allow you to download the vids so that was my best option.

eh here's my 2nd ticket vid, wich you can see im not speeding!!!!! im in the middle lane, next to the red stang

Yeah, that's pretty lame but I think you were going faster than any of the traffic around you. You started behind the stang but you ended up passing it by the end of the film. Still, a human officer would have no reason to pull you over in that situation. Damn cameras!

ya they are hated lol. but a lot of ppl, including me will be at the hearing fighting our tickets. the only good thing about the cams is that the tickets dont go on your record, they just charge ridiculous prices

Well that's good, I guess. I don't have anything on my record because every time I get a driving infraction, I just take online traffic school. California is cool like that. And I have a bunch of vehicle infractions but those are easily dismissed when you correct the violation.

I like it. Too many cops is my only complaint. Some of the cops even know me and leave me alone when they see me. There is a sheriff's officer who patrols close to my house and he pulled me over like 6 different times. On the last time, he said "I don't know what to do with you" and we agreed he won't pull me over again. Awesome!

wow those cams are bogus. Its ridiculous when you get a speeding ticket for like 10-15 mph over the speed limit on an Empty road.
