Default Water Leaking

Hey All,

First time visiting this site, and have a question about the TC which I purchased from Nov. '05.

I noticed lately (like the last two months), whenever I took a longer drive (like an hour commute), a clear sort of liquid would leak from the bottom of the car shortly after the car is parked. I took my car in for oil change last month, dumb me didn't mention about the problem, but the tech didn't mention anything abnormal either. It just really bothers me, as I don't know what could be causing the problem. Anyone has thoughts on this? Thanks!!

the front. i can't pinpoint exactly where the leak is coming from. but i heard it has to do with the climate control. does that sound right?

yes it comes from the a/c line.. if you use the defroster the a/c will automatically come on.. and the clear liquid is water, the drain tube is on the passenger side, directly behind the right front wheel/suspension area.. hope that helps ya out..

as said above i just want to add ,

light brown-dark - oil

pink/green - coolant

pink - tranny oil

clear water - a/c

and if all else fails to determine it by looking, i use my trusty tongue

You also might want to check your fluids. If one is consideribly lower than the rest, your ? might be answered. I have a ?: could it be that the tC is cooling itself after a long commute? I notice that the fan comes on a lot. (More than my previous ride.) And that's just from running errands here locally.

I had a simliar thing going on as well. I would bareley start my car from sitting the entire night. I would back out my driveway (on slope) and i would see a trail of water! im like WTF! it's 60Degrees outside im not using the A/C what's going on.

I took it to the dealership and asked them while i was having an oil change, he said it was beacuse i was using my heater and the condinsation was building up from the cold weather outside and from the heater being on. I was like ....O OK..so whether or not that's true I dont know but im just letting you know what my dealership told me.

I noticed the fan kicking on a lot as well. I heard it's because toyota motors run hotter then other's?

its just water. Nothing to worry about.
If you are still unsure go and touch the liquid, rub it between ur fingers, smell it. Im sure its water. The car doesnt really produce any other clear liquid.
