Default Weapon R Coolant resevoir Question (need help)

Recently purchased the Weapon R coolant tank and power steering tank.
Power steering went pretty easy. lost a bit of fluid and had a terrible sound. So added some and it seems fine now.

but the coolant tank. Went to install it. The stock tank doesnt have a feed and draw. it has a sinle hose going in the top with a hise inside to draw from the tank all the way to the bottom.

The weapon R doesnt have a hose in the interior and has no where to attach a hose. What can I do to make it work? Anyone have a number I can call to get in touch with weapon r?

Thanks for any help. Pictures will be up later

The best part of modding is doing the work and tinkering with the car.

You use the stock tube that goes into the side of the catch can. But it is at the top of the can, so it has no way of drawing from the bottom of the can. On the stock one, there is a tube built into the cap for the resevoir that goes to the bottom of the tank. There is no where on the aftermarket tank to attach the stock hose. Just a spot to attach the outside hose that goes to the radiator, it will be fine to put fluid into the tank, but wont draw from the tank.

If that makes sense.

that is the way the mine was and never had a problem for over a year. The fun is trying to make them flat and look good. I spent hours making mine perfect.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, when I bought the tank and installed it I had the same problem. Do this: connect the hose from the radiator to the tank, now the other tube is just the overflow, so you can just connect some tubing from that and run it down by your wheel well. Now for the siphon part of the whole deal. You need to get a smaller hose and connect it to the INSIDE of the tank where the hose from the radiator comes in. Its a little tricky but when you have the right size hose it will barely fit, you gotta push hard. Once it is in, just cut it long enough to where it can siphon the fluid from the bottom of the tank. You might want to epoxy the hose on the inside to make sure it will stay. I will try to take pics of mine tomorrow and post them on here to give you a better idea, since Im not that good at writing instructions! I have had NO problems with mine ever since I installed it a few months ago.

Awesome. I had the same idea, but wasnt sure if it would work. This was exactly what I needed to see. I will see what autozone has for a tube. Thanks man.

How full do you keep the power steering and coolant tanks?

Power steering you want to keep 3/4 full, but the coolant I wouldn't keep more than 1/2 full because it fluctuates as it gets hot and cold. Good luck mayne!

lol i told you to do that when i sold you the coolant tank. just needed to force a tube into the hole. it will work, its under low pressure. you dont fill the coolant tank, its only an overflow. its good to have a little in it, but not required.

Oh ok. I thought maybe you had come accross a way to beef up the steering. Seems our cars when at a stand still aren't too happy when you turn the wheel. Growls alittle bit.

nah, totally for the looks of it.

the tC does seem to have a tighter steering wheel. I like it tho.
