Ok if anyone has done this I could use the help,

In front of the shifter cage all the way back,is a yellow connector which has wires going to our seats, im assuming this is seatbelt alarms and airbag, is there a special way to remove this wiring? I have been trying to get rid of absolutely everything I dont need and all wiring too.

It looks kinda simple to disconnect but I dont want the airbag going off if I do this, obviously I would disconnect the battery 1st before doing anything but is it as simple as just unplugging it then done?

the airbags not going to go off if you unclip it, i mess with my airbags all the time and dont even bother unplugging the battery.

but, in case you didnt know, you need to be careful when messing with the airbag stuff, if you tamper with them and you get in an accident, insurance can actually partially or fully deny your claim. Especially if you need medical care. Make sure you do your research

 

We saved 40lbs from stock (60) to Kaminari's (20) I just removed my roof and weighed both of them. There isnt anything better you can spend 500 bucks on the car for weight reduction because all that weight is up top causeing your CG to be high and WILL push you through a turn.

 

or you can go to home depot buy a sheet of plexi glass for $40 which is 36 by 72 and cut it in half then bolt or weld up a cross bar in the middle going cross the car and then get window weld from parts sote which is $20 and a can of paint any color and you lose the wieght and save aleast $400 in the mod

 

 

 

 

i dont think your car would pass tech with the battery up there and not enclosed lol, also those harnesses don't look like it has the right degree to be safe if it's mounted to the car and not the harness bar, just sayin.

i could be wrong though

 

yea the battery has a box for it i was just working on it and someone else said that about the harness but how is it supposed to be

 

i googled this, but the instructions from takata harnesses were similar

If I remove backseats, spare tire, cargo mat, jack and tools and everything practically from the backseats all the way back on the interior will I notice much improvements in performance. Thanks

 

i think that harness should be fine as long as its over the bar like that

I took out the backseats, spare tire, foam pieces with jack and tools, and practically everything from the rear seats back and it feels like it pulls a little better.

 

I flipped through most of the pages but couldn't find the weight of an OEM hood.

Does anyone know how much it weighs?

 

Just find the weight of an OEM style CF hood and add 10 pounds, that should be about the the weight of the stock hood.
