Anyone with the TRD exhaust, when you've been driving for a little bit and you come to a light or you stop have any of you heard like a thumping sound that appears to be coming from your exhaust? It only does it once and it shounds like someone is just flicking it, kinda annoying. Anyone else heard this?

 

Hey man i have the trd muffler and its fine i have it for more than a year, so just try to fine out what is it

 

i've had trd exhaust since december 04. never heard any strange sounds from it. maybe you have a hangor that came undone, or maybe somebody put something that is rattling around inside your muffler?

 

Take it the dealer and make em check it...just to be safe

 

Had the TRD for over a year also and never had anything other than great sound from it. Check and make sure your hangers are all attached.

 

The only noise I have heard is a popping, and that is probably caused by the fact that i have the S/C. It happens when i am slowing down with the car in gear, usually right before i stop. I hear it on other cars all the time

 

Guess I'll be goin to the dealer this weekend then.

 

Thats basically how mine is too, only I dont have a S/C. Hmm

i have that muffler too and i never heard any weird noises....but when i down shift it always pops...have it checked out

 

popping is normal, clunking is not

 

if its a thud, it probably wasnt aligned right, meaning that when the muffler shakes a bit, it could be hitting your bumper... put dirt on the exhaust tip and go drive around... come back and see if that dirt was significantly moved around or anything like that... would give you a great basis going in...

mayb it need time to blend in with the heat..ahaha..on my old 240 when i got flowmaster piping it make clicking noise for a week and it smell...then it went away..
