Were you ever guilty of being a ricer?
I was.
My first car (looked like it, not the exact one).

1987 model
Paid $900 in 1994. 4spd manual, no a/c, crank windows, 13in wheels, carburator, am/fm cassette
.
I was just fresh out of high school and after working for 3 months, I bought my 1st car.
I must admit, I was a ricer
I had a 4in exhaust tip, side marker lights, heated springs (bounced like a *****), and had stickers (k&n, flowmaster, tokico and kenwood) half of which I didn't have.
I get embarassed now that I reminisce (sp?).
My tC now is bone stock.

I'll admit, I am a little rice right now. I'll admit it. I wouldn't get a 4in exhaust tip or heated springs but I do have blue cathodes under and all over the inside of my car. I also do have a few stickers but all of which are stuff I use. (Oznium Sticker and Hotchkis Sticker)
I used to be a ricer, I guess.
This is a picture of my old Echo on the day when I got home from the dealership, sometime in 2002:

And this is what it looked like by the time I was finished:

Lol, thats actually a real sweet echo. I too was riced out. I had a '92 beretta when I was 16 complete with that EL-string lighting around my center console, neon on the rear-deck, biohazard stickers on the side windows, a chrome exhaust tip and I murdered out the interior. Everything was black on that car. Also, my neons were turned on by one of those switches with the protection cover thing, like something you'd use for Nitrous or something. That switch was $8 too. I remember.

I riced out my old '03 Eclipse with painted stockies.
I can honestly say that no matter how good of a job you do painting your stockies, it is a rice mod. It's like saying, "Hey I can't afford real aftermarket wheels, but I'm still going to try and look cool by rattle canning my stock wheels." Powder coating stock wheels is another thing, dupli color is ftl though. Just my opinion though, I'm sure others would disagree.

I had a gunmetal gray 4th Gen Civic dropped 2.5 inches on 16" rims with intake and exhaust....
If only I had stopped there... I also had,
Stickers for parts I didn't own (including NOS)
Huge 4" tip on the exhaust
100% Clear taillights
"Fake blue" headlights / turn signals
Pep-Boys foglights
Painted interior
Mugen shoulder pads
Homemade eyelids
Why o' WHY did I feel the need to ruin a perfectly good car??

I had a 98 4 door civic with no exhaust so it was loud as hell & $400 ugly ___ Arceo star rims.
Many people call my tC rice right now because of the wing, & color theme. But wait'll its out of the shop, she'll have a whole new look.

My very first car.... 1978 Toyota Celica ST... somewhat ricey.

My 2005 Scion xB... I traded it in 3 weeks ago.... a little bit o' rice in it.... notice the fart-can.

My 3 week old 2008 Scion tC.... bone stock right now... it whispered to me the other night to "Stay away from the Uncle Ben's....."
I think I will keep it clean.... although the stock tails look kinda ricey... in a good sort of way.

I really enjoyed moding my previous car, but now looking back alot of stuff was ricey.
I had a 98 Ford Contour 2.0. CAI, Dual tip fart can, OBX throttle body spacer, JET chip, Optima battery, 9.3mm "racing" wires, lol! And check out my custom door panels
