Default What day was your tC built?

I've looked around the car and can't find a sticker with any specific date.

The reason why I ask is that out of the dozens of Toyotas my family had over the years, two were close to being lemons (Sienna and a Tercel). Both were Friday cars (I say on a sticker, one under the rear deck, and the other under the steering column).

I had an 01 Corolla and it was FLAWLESS. No rattles, engine smooth as butter and it was built on a Tuesday.

I don't know if any of you believe in that stuff but I thought I just wanted to share.

never had a personal experience myself, but i've quite a few stories about cars that come out of the factories on Monday's and Friday's are the worst. apparently, Monday's are bad because everyone has to get back into "work mode" from the weekend and they don't feel like it. Friday's are bad because everyone is eager to get out of work for the weekend, so they kinda take "shortcuts" with their work.

years ago, my one high school teacher told the class that there was all this rattling on driver side door of his brand new car. later, he found a screw driver behind the front door panel. of course he said the car came out of the factory on a Monday.

its funny you mention that, because i had a similiar experience. I was installing amp wires in my corolla. I wanted the wires to run under the back seat so i took it out. Under the seat i found a cordless phone. it was just the headset. weird huh?

I just got my car serviced at the dealer and on the invoice it has a production date. My car was made on a Tuesday, Feb 1, 2005. No wonder I dont have the rattles that normal tCs have.

I'm sure the Monday / Friday ethic only applies to US built cars. US workers (no offense) are pretty damn lazy as opposed to those in Asian countries.

No I haven't, to be honest, I have been to Japan and the work ethic is completely different there. Nothing that I can compare to the white or blue collar workers of the US or Western European countries. If the Indians in India are anything like what I saw in Japan it truly doesn't surprise me why we get outsourced. But thats just a whole other subject.

I checked the sticker on the inside of the car and it says 05/06. then I checked the paperwork from my 1st oil change and it saus my car wasmade on MONDAY may 1st. I haven't had a problem with her .I picked her up june 11th.I was the 1st one to drive her. saw her at 1mile next day when I picked up had 4.so I wouldn't say that cars made on monday have problems. I'm almost at 10k miles.

The only lazy American workers are the UNIONS. They extort the companies MILLIONS of dollars. Only in a union would a guy who turns bolts all day and never saw a day in college make $35/hr, fully paid health care and a fat pension.

Asian workers are hard working, I agree.

Hmmm... 14 year old girls working 12-18 hours a day to take home a whopping $2. Wow, too bad I can't share the Asian "pride".
