All my previous cars and my friends (eclipse, galant, 300M, ES300, Venture) have been done by Awsome Accessories here in Vegas. It's usually $130 with lifetime warantee for the sedans including the front strip for anything from 15% up except limo. The best part, though, is that he is mobile, and will come and do it in your garage! It's cheaper having a van then keeping up a shop.

For the amount of sq footage on a tC, you can expect to pay anywhere from $150 for the cheap stuff (how dark it is has no bearing on the price of the tint) to $300 for the fully metalized or more for ceramic tint.

I paid $150 for fully metalllic tint (black, non-reflective) through a friend. I also went a little darker than I probably should've, but it keeps tons more heat out.

Exactly, tint isn't generic and somebody who knows how to install it and then stand behind it costs something! Heck I knew a guy that bought some pre-cut tint online cheap and then sat on it for months before trying to put it on. Hilarious, we all laughed at his first attempt Yea, not bad for $50 but not going to do that to mine...

i haven't gotten mine tinted yet but the place i'm going to posts the brands that they use on their website, some german brand that starts with an H which is a ceramic tint and SunTek which is a brand i saw at the dealer so i assume its good. both come with lifetime waurantees and are GUARANTEED not to bubble, crack, peel, etc..

my only problem now is to decide how dark to get it! .. oh btw they said $150 but i'm not sure if that's just the SunTek or if i have my pick of which one i want.. and yea the price covers both windows and the back ..... i'll ask more thorough once i'm actually gonna go do it...

At Solar Shield in Fort Smith, AR I got mine tinted to 20% and it cost me $143. That's with Llumar film and the lifetime transferable warranty. Good deal if I do say so myself.

LowProMofo - That's a 5%?? That looks kinda dark for a 5%, maybe I'm just not used to it. I can't get tints here because they aren't legal

Yeah it's 5% all around. Now it may be darker than that I don't know. I've never tested it. That's ____ty about your tint law. I'd hate that! In GA we have no tint law. It used to be 35% on the sides but there is some dispute or something over it. Not sure really. They'll prolly do something about it before too long though!

Solar Gard window film with a lifetime warranty. I don't remember the percentages - I just did the same as my boyfriend's car.

I got Llumar tint at 50% on driver and passenger windows and then 35% on back windows and hatch. That is the maximum allowed in Ohio for driver and passenger windows. The install also came with a lifetime warranty against bubbling, fading, peeling, etc. I paid $189 and have not had any of the problems I have read with other people who have had tint installed (i.e., the double seals being reseated after the job, etc.). I think tinting is a great after market add on.

I would like to get 30% all the way around.. cops shouldn't mess with me too much that way but it'll still look nice.

I had an '01 black Jetta GLX that I took to get tinted in 2002. I went to LA Tint in Manassas, VA upon recommendation from a friend. I paid nearly $300 to have 35% tint in front and 20% in back and they did the most horrific job I've ever seen. Bubbles, tint not cut correctly (screwed up around edges of windows), the whole deal.

I'd like to not have a repeat of what happened all those years ago... any recommendations for bomb ___ tint shops in the No. Virginia or D.C. area? Thank U!

I'm sure I paid the most for my tint---I'm not proud of that, but I looked at the work of the shops I was looking to get it done at and only one looked good enough for what I wanted (and was willing to do it) with quality tint.
$450--- 5% on back window only, 20% on 4 side windows, 50% on the two sunroofs, 50% on the entire windshield (this is why I was so picky on the install, it's got to be perfect or you can tell. Makes a HUGE diffence though). All 3M Lifetime tint.
If I can figure out how to post a picture, I will.

Here's a link, don't know how to get it in the post.
