What is the difference between Azure Pearl and Silver?
I have an AP. It is a light blue. At night it almost looks silver. However, in the daytime it is a light blue metallic. It is awesome but you should really see it in person before making a decision if you want it or not.

I like the tC in silver , actually in any of the colors. But silver is so popular, as is white and black (but black is still sooo sexy). Feel free to be different. And good luck finding an AP to check out the color. ONly way I know is to look up someone esle and check out theirs otherwise do what I'm doing and hope you like it.
azure pearl has the same kind of color-reflecting properties in it as Flint Mica, except they used silver and blue flakes rather than charcoal gray with blue/green flakes.
I've seen it in person and it's an incredible color but I'm a darker color kinda guy.
Azure Pearl a chick car? I'd sport it... but the one I saw had a cute asian girl driving it...
It's the baby blue color that makes people think girly color. like pink. real men wear pink. seriously. It says so on my shirt.

It's true. It's a feminine color. It looks good, but you still have to admit it.
Sort of like when I wear my black and pink striped tie. It looks good on, but I know I'm going to get one or two jackass remarks out of someone that day

LOL
So feminine that it was originally used on the limited edition pebble beach lexus sc 430.
Whatever you say I like it, my feminine gf likes it, my (male) friend with an IIP xA likes it. Just about anyone who sees it likes it. Check it out in person, you will like it too.

All you haters may call it a chick color. But every person that has seen my car loves the color. Guys & girls alike. On top of that, its so easy to take care of, doesn't look like ____ when it rans like the superwhite or black does. AP all the way
Market research will tell you that the AP color IS a "chick" color, and is used to get more female drivers interested.
And it's working! Every AP I've seen was driven by a female.
The new beetle has a similar color and the hybrid civic as well.
You'll never see baby blue on a new Dodge Ram.
That's because they market exclusively to men.
I'm glad to see other tC owners admit this.
When I merely hinted at it in a previous thread
a bunch of AP drivers bit my head off!

I love my AP. I don't think it's a chick color. What do you see on little baby boys in the hospital? Light blue. WOW, therefore light blue on a car == chick color?!?!? Yea, whatever.
It does do very well slightly dirty, it doesn't show dirt like my dad's dark blue truck does. I think it's also a "low production color" so if you can get one, you probably will be in the minority of tC owners, which I think is a plus for the color itself.
In the sunlight, when it's clean, the car looks AMAZING. I saw it on a lot next to a IIP and SSM and decided right then and there that's the color I was getting. I've also seen a BSP, BCP, FM and SW since and none of them have grabbed my attention like the AP.
Most of the online pictures dont do it justice. The two in this thread are closer than anything on Scion's website, but honestly, if you can find one to look at in person and in the sunlight, I think you'll be sold on it. ;P

I think they call it Zepher Blue, or something.
Many celica forums have loooooong threads that start out "celica is a chick car!"
They battled with this perception as well.
