If you had to pick one extra option to get at time of purchase for your daily driver t/c . What would be most benificial ?

 

I Say NO Performace Mods..Cuz the Dealer price will Rip u a New Hole!..hahaha..
U can get Better Aftermarket part stuff online someplace else!!!..

U can get the scion security or the AirBags!!!...

its an 08 so the air bags are included. I think i am going to have them install the alarm.

I would get a remote starter but its a stick

 

you can still get remote start with a manual. just don't start your car if it's in gear

Not worth it. If i were to ever get a remote starter for a manual i would buy the "special" remote starter that has safe gaurds built in. The alarms are like 600+ but worth it for a new car.

Nice to see they finally included side airbags as standard. I bought an '07 and had to get the side airbags as an option. This is easily the most worthwhile option on the older models. It has the potential to be a life saver, or could at least save you thousands in medical bills. I don't intend to crash my car, and I have never had an accident before, but there is no shame in being prepared.

 

i agree 100% that the airbags are handles down a requirement. It doesnt matter how good of a driver you are, its the other @$$hole that hits you.

Do you guys know if the 08 alarm has an engine kill feature built into it ?

 

The engine immobilizer has always been standard.

 

I got almost every dealer upgrade with my car and I love everyone of them. OBX pedal, tc door sills, cf appliqués for the doors, lip kit, foglights, homelink mirror, and leather interior.

But as it was said above, get performance mods somewhere else, springs, exhaust, intake, sways, strut bars etc...

If it were me, (which it should be within a few months ) the only option I would get factory installed would be the Scion Security, just because security systems are pretty important, and I don't wanna mess around wiring something like that. However, everything else you can buy from TRDsparks as mentioned above. When I get my tC, I'm probably just gonna get scion security and lip spoiler installed, and pick up the OBX pedals, and the TYC Tails, and install them myself. Both are pretty easy installs from what I hear.

 

id say nothing. everywhere else is cheaper anyway. ironically enough, i had to wait a few weeks for a bone stock one, but if i wanted one with extras i couldve got it that day... just a quick fyi

 

them OEM lip kit...it's hard to justify spending about 1k to get it now. financed over would have hurt me a little less...
