Use factory connector on back of the radio. I think the Eclipse dual-din's use the factory connectors, I may be wrong.

Default stereo head unit

yep,im wondering what my options are for a direct replacement dash unit, without cutting wires and running wires.Asimple plug in job. I have seen adapter kits that go between the harness and head unit on other cars, but im new to the scion tc and dont know any options if any.

Im looking for a plugin upgrade

i dont think they sell aftermaket headunits that plug right into the factory harness just get a wire harness and a aftermaket headunit of your choice match up the colors of the wires and the headunit u get and then plug it into the factory harness pretty easy actually and you wont void the warrenty, check out the diy's oh yea dont forget the mouniting kit so it'll hold the radio in place.

MOST not all Eclipse AVN head units plug right in, I know the avn5500 plugs right in.

Getting the radio harness and wiring up a new radio is VERY easy in this car, took me about 10 min. Color coded and simple

Dont let plug and play limit your radio selection.
