Default What would you have done?

Well I was in my car in my schools parking structure on wednesday, reading my text book when I see that some guy is going to pull into the spot next to me. So he is trying to pull in, and in the process hits the car that is parked on the other side of the open spot. So I feel really bad for the guy who car got hit, especially since my car got hit the week earlier by some dumb a hole who didnt even leave a note or anything. So Im watching the guy who hit this other guys car, and he gets out of his car, looks at the damage, and then just walks away towards class. Im think wtf, and I get out of my car look to see if there was any damage, and see this big ****** f'in dent/scratch down to the primer, and this was on a pretty new 350Z, not some old pos. So I wrote down the description of the driver, got the perps. vin# and liscence plate #, and stuck it under the windshield wiper of the victims car. Personally, I htink that I did the right thing, and wished that someone would have done the same for me when someone hit my car. But what do you guys think, was it none of my business/not my place to step in, or do you think that it was the right thing to do?

Oh, believe me, i wanted to. I think that getting a drivers liscence should be more demanding than it already is. Maybe a seperate parking test? I have seen so many people who dont know how to park in the lines, or hit other cars when they park.

iono. i drive a beastly car (a land cruiser)

and i've never had trouble getting the feel for parking and stuff...people who can't park their cars shouldn't be allowed to drive them. simple as that.

My sisters Altima got hit by some stupid hick on the way to get my car back from having a new windshield installed. The chick had the ***** to say that it was my sisters fault that (the woman in the truck) sideswiped us and dented the crap out of my sisters ride. Sucks too, she was thinking of trading it in to get a scion.

Ya, it wasnt the same guy, the guy that hit me had a red car, because he left all his red paint on my car. The other car was blue. Believe me, if it was a red car, I would have kept a copy of his info for myself aswell.

Please tell me you called a police officer? The exact same thing happened to my uncle, where the person didnt have a liscence, or insurance. He called the police, and they straightened it all out. I think what he had to end up doing was take them to court, and have the police testify for him about the whole situation.

You did the right thing in my opinion by helping out a fellow driver that was not around to witness damage being done to his car.
