Default What is wrong with the gas mileage?

I know that most manuals are better gas mileage than the automatics. But with the tC, its not. I was wondering of you with both, what is your gas mileage and how often do you guys fill up? Thanks

Nothing wrong with it. Mine averages pretty close to what the factory says, anywhere between 22 and 30 mpg for me. The auto is better for mileage on the tC due to its conservative gearing. The manual has much shorter gears.

Mine was sorta bad at first...but mine is getting better. So far..i filled up and have been driving a lot back and forth...and it has almost used a Qtr of the tank and i am already at 100 miles! YAY!! that's better then it has ever done! Usually the car uses around 150 Miles for a half a tank averaging around 300 miles per full tank. I think this one is gonna be good!!....o yeah A/C is on all the time!

Gas mileage has a lot to do with the terrain that you drive on. For instance, if you live in an area that's extremely hilly, such as applachia, your gas mileage will be worse compared to someone that lives in say oklahoma, which is relatively flat...
