Whats with the "hater" looks?
 

I just thought i would bring this up cuz i actually thought it was kinda humorous. ive had my tc for basically 3 months and everywhere i go, whether its the interstate or riding around town, every time another tc owner goes by they give me this look like, " omg its another tc! does theres look better than mine?" give me a year and it will buddy. lol!! now ive never had those kind of looks with my z24 cavalier and it WAS the best looking one around here. but anyway i thought this was actually quite funny and was wondering if anybody else ever gets these looks? hell, we actually just got one this morning on the way to town by a FM from texas! lol!!

I get those looks, but only 'cause they hate my real wheels.

I get looks. Generally because i am a key fob off the ground and they wonder why my wheels are tilted and don't fit in my wheel wells

No trust me mine lookd good. the inerior and body was perfect, still had the factory body kit, tinted windows. it wasnt riced out, it was clean. and since u wanna saY somethin smart i wish i still had it cuz i liked it more than i do this scion but it was a last min decision on a car and it was the only decently priced nice looking car on the lot. and at least it was american made.... o.O i guess thats what happens when u let a man drive ur shlt, it gets tore up. :'(

I dont get hater looks but i do get the frequent Wth stare as ppl because i rub my stockies when i turn ,my bumper cant run over a dixie cup, and i super angle up/down every hill.lol

I mean if this is the kind of place where people cant except the fact that others like other vehicles besides junky ___ imports then i mean i'll be more than happy to find some place else that i can be excepted to and not be ridiculed by a bunch of ricers..... as i recalled this was a thread about"hater looks" not whether or not you liked MY past vehicles!!!

the RICER comment is probably why NO ONE likes you in your town....

Fyi i dont live in a town. so get ur ____ straight. so if this is the attitude i can expect from u ppl dont ever expect to see me on here again. i thought this would be a fun, active forum to shoot shlt with but you all have managed to prove me wrong. and i call things as i see them. so yall have a nice day... :)

I get looks all the time too but they are more WTF is that… and yes, there are always haters that stair at you and don’t “understand you or your style” and I have grown to love haters. Let them hate.

Haha I had a z24 cavalier in mint condition before I had my tc. Worst car ever. it looked nice but always required maintence. Replaced the tranny axles clutch starter altenator injectors the list gos on. I hated that car lol. Ive had the tc for 3 years and not a single problem :)

Well luckily its ACCEPT and not EXCEPT, so you already messed up there. And if you're slammed you are alright in the scion world. Plus post pictures of this Z24, because I've yet to see a good Cavalier. Thats like claiming their is a good SRT4, its still a neon.

I lol at saying the car was a last minute choice that wasn't what you really wanted, it is a good car, once you start modding it just gets better as long as it's tasteful and with quality products.

Now that that's out of the way, I don't think those are hater stares. When people see the same car they are driving they tend to look.

-Welcome to Scionlife, we own imports so we are clearly biased towards them. It is a fun active forum if you want to talk about Scions :)

Ok not sure if the OP is coming back but damn have some back bone. This was the most clean newb thread I have seen in a long time over a topic like this! Have some back bone. Im glad you liked your Z24 but come on its a cavilier. Thats like having a 10sec neon its still a freakin neon! And really we dont need posts about wierd looks or anything. its a tC its the new civic it happens!

I get a lot of stares... It might be because I always keep my car clean. Another tC owner walked up to me once and he was like "clean tC, what kind of lip kit is that?". It was hilarious... I'm sure any tC enthusiast would recognize the Kenstyle lip kit from the RS3.0, most especially since its gotten Kenstyle badged on both front and rear lips. :P

Believe it or not, not all tC "enthusiasts" are on one of the 2 scion forums. Nor do all of them keep up with what RS had what done etc etc. I had a tC owner stop me to ask about my tC, come to find out he wanted to brag about a supercharged tC he was driving where the rear garnish was held on by duct tape and had spray painted blue vents.

yeah many ppl don't know anything about their scions. The only time I look at other scion driver is when I pass by one that they turned into a ricer car. It makes me sad that they destroyed.

I had a tC owner pace next to me and was asking about my taillights(Eagle Eyes red/clear, Anzo reps), pulled to the side and talked for a moment. He's in a recently bought supercharged '06 FM, a bit beat up and the headlights need a polish, didn't know a thing about the release series(he was asking about my wheels), so it goes to show not all are into their cars, yet.

i get those looks if i go to big cities like chicago where they are everywhere; but if i'm on the highway or locally its the exact opposite since not as many around
