wheel hop issue
whats the best way to help eliminate the wheel hop issue in the tc? i've thought about putting in polyurethane motor mounts and tranny mounts, along with some stiffer struts, front and rear anti sway bars, and potentially a torque dampener. any other ideas on how to curb this? i don't want to do lowering springs. i dont want to mess with those right now. anything that can help without changing the alignment, toe or camber would be of great info to me.
engine torque damper. basically an apparatus that connects ur engine to ur strut on the passenger side. goes for about 100 bucks used on here, weapon-r and DME makes them, aswell as cheap ebay ones. even though it works ok, its jus basically a minor fix for wheel hop. to really make a difference I'd add an ETD and motor mounts. the downfall to this is that it makes a HORRIBLE cabin noise from metal on metal rubbing even with motormounts it cause a lot of vibration to be moved around in the cabin cause of the engine being held in place stiffer.
ETD would probably be the easiest to install. I have heard the rear (I think) engine bushing is hard to get to.
But tires would probably be the best option, because the stock ones are not that great. Plus sticker tires help in the corners.

Yes, I have them, have some in stock too. IMO these perform better than the ETD. Reason people use the ETD over mounts is because of the install, mounts can be quite a headache without the right tools, but a local shop can do these rather easiliy. Even if you can get the front mounts in you are ahead of the game. Great mod for the price!
Also wanted to add- Mild lowering springs like H-Techs or TRD springs are not enough of a drop to screw up your alignment. If your worried about doing struts, sway bars, motor mounts, etc, the drop would be first on my list. It will not reduce wheel hop but it will change the overall look and ride of the car (for the better)

I bet you're using the stock tires right now.
try nitto neo gens, that you could get a set for about $400.
