Default When I turn HID on, radio FM receptions sucks

i was wondering for those people who has hid headlights, when you turn you hid on, do your radio reception becomes sucks. When I drive w/o my headlights on, my radio has perfect reception. Then when it comes to nighttime, and i turn on my hids, my radio becomes staticky. Does this happen to any one. And does anyone know why this happens. My car is 08 tc with only like 3k miles and i think the stactic is due to the hid? Can anyone tell me whats going on....

Oh and is there any radiation or like bad magnetic field that the hid are causing, because my explanation for the bad radio is that the hid is emitting like a field of some sort.

Oh and the hid i got was from ebay for like 80. it works perfectly fine, just the radio.

Thanks

EMI should not be a significant issue, I would guess you're pulling power from the same line as the head unit. Who / how is it wired? The best way for HID is to run the stock harness to a relay and then power the ballast directly from the battery (with a fuse in line) through the relay. The xB has a powered antenna, did anyone do any work with your stereo? it could be disconnected or drawing from the same line as the HID's.

Could be the time of day as well, I get better reception in the morning. If you turn the lights on during the day, does it get worse?

Yes i have a relay that pulls electricity from the battery. And no, its not the difference between day and night, because I have tested many times just driving for like 10 mins and taking note of how the radio is and turn the lights on and take a note of how it is when lights are on, and immediatly right when i turn my lights on, statics appears.

For those people with HID, can you test this out with your car and report back to me, becasue I want to know if this happens to just me or to most hid users thanks
